According to you is it thus dishonest to lend a DVD to a friend? The artist doesn't make money out of that either...It is dishonestly ripping off someone else's work though isn't it.

It is.According to you is it thus dishonest to lend a DVD to a friend?
Admitting to it is one thing but I've never quite understood how people justify their download of films, music and games without paying.Back of a DVD said:The copyright proprietor has licensed this DVD and its soundtrack for private home use only...
Any unauthorised copying, editing, exhibition, lending, renting, public performance, diffusion and/or broadcast of this DVD is strictly prohibited.
How does intense pron differ from regular pron ?
And how did they obtain that data?
back of dvd case.
As you've already suggested in the other thread that you support infringement of other peoples IP and hard work whilst posting that if someone did the same to you you would use the law and courts to enforce your rights i find it hard to take your posts on the subject particularly seriously.According to you is it thus dishonest to lend a DVD to a friend? Possibly just monitored the torrent. Saw a list of all peers, and tracked the IPs.

Well, it clearly states the license agreement whether you agree with it or not.I really don't care what the back of DVD case says.
Of course it is, it's just not practical or realistic that's all.Saying that you can't lend (in regards to non-commercial lending) has absolutely no legal merit to it and is NOT enforceable.
Good one, fini. I don't see anywhere that I've posted saying it's morally wrong to lend a DVD to a mate. I've done it plenty of times, but it's still wrong to do so according to the license agreement.I can't believe at least two people think its morally wrong to allow a friend to borrow a DVD...madness

And yet you seem to suggest it's morally right to rip off someone else's labour if it happens to suit your particular desires...I can't believe at least two people think its morally wrong to allow a friend to borrow a DVD...madness

Yes we all have our own moral guidelines and level of acceptable honesty. Would I drive at 75mph in a 70mph zone sometimes, probably. Would I take the points and fine without whining if I got caught, yes I would. Is doing 75mph in a 70 the same as doing 75mph in a 30mph zone (despite both breaking the law) no, of course it's not.
