Nah my race isn't thick unfortunately, I wish it was that. :( Can tell it's a bug as well because when they get stuck they do a crazy, borked animation. Really twitchy movement stuck in the same spot.
 
Last time i checked this thread was maybe a day and a half ago and it was only on 4 pages?? wtf? now 10. Back on topic:0 my spore has gone from preorder to processing and will hopefully be sent tonight with me getting it tomorrow which luckily for me is my day off this week:)
 
Yeah, that's extremely lame it's like a Black & White sort of bug, game delayed for our whole lives then upon release it's bugged to high hell...

Still, as said above, it should be a quick fix given that it'd be a highly ridiculous game breaker...
I'll still be looking for it on release day.

Edit: And by that I mean, I'll be looking for the game on release day... Sounded like I'd be looking for the specific bug... :p

You never know though, perhaps it will be fixed in the retail release, depends where the crackers got their copy from.

This is true, the pirate copy could well be a leaked version that's not quite retail.

I hope so anyway, because if this bug is still in my retail copy when it arrives I'll be sad.
 
Ulfhedjinn, seeing as you might have some insider info, can you tell me if it's possible to crossbreed species in this game?

Could I fly off to another planet, grab an alien, and make a hybrid baby?

If anyone could confirm this for me now then I'm hooked and will order straight away.

Seriously though you haven't been able to do that in a game properly since creatures, if you can do it in this then I'll have to buy it on that principle.

Well based on some googling it looks like you can. I think I'm going to take the plunge (figuratively, the actual plunge won't be till Friday).

Couple of questions for those who have played:

How do you mimic another species moves? I'm trying to ally with some other creatures but I'm not sure how to do it. Also do AI species reproduce? I've been offered some DNA if I ally with 3 animals. As soon as I got that quest some huge species came and ate most of my future allies :(

EDIT: Oh pants... looks like it needs to be signed for and no-one is going to be at home :(

People are excited because they saw demo videos years ago and thought "WOW that's really cool". Thing is, EA will almost certainly have stripped away every single cool aspect of the game. If we're LUCKY, they'll release the cool bits in expensive expansion packs.

Its the next Maxis franchise apparently so expect many expansion packs as in The Sims... :/
