**SPORE**

Loving this so far, but I even enjoyed the primordal soup stage hahaha. The ability to get creative with your creature while trying to balance the stats on limbs makes his ever changing appearance/evolution quite satisfying as your creature comes together. Still on the creature stage but not advancing until I get more of the level 5 limbs were possible. Playing as a herbivore for now.

I like the pack mentality and although combat is fairly simple its quite good fun with a few special pack members in your squad charging onto an enemy mound and kicking arse. Not in any rush to advance though, just enjoying the ride! Brilliant game imho and if the reviews are correct and the game opens up on the Galactic stage then I am onto a winner. Perhaps I am just easily pleased :p

The only stage i actually liked was the cell stage, shame you cant actually make anything like the 0other things swimming around due to not having enough points/money before being forced up a stage, and then at the end you can't keep adding as no matter how much you eat then it doesn't gain you anything.

The problem is, these people are saying it's bad because of features not in the game that have never been mentioned. Like online multiplayer. It's like saying Half Life 2 is a bad game because you can't mod the vehicles or race against friends online.

no it's because the videos etc didn't actually tell you that a creature with one arm + a lvl 5 claw will still be exactly the same combat wise as a creature with 15 arms and lvl 5 claws.

Or that combat would be so mind numbingly crap.

It really is for the same people who like the sims.

This isn't Tekken n00b.

You moan about the game being simple and repetitive. Yet you enjoy the most simple and repetitive part of the game. I think you just troll for the fun of it.

No, the cell stage is the least repetitive, and has the best combat. In the other stages its -spit charge, then just click bite/slash endlessly till it dies, killing the alpha's first.

The cell stage is physics based so if you're a predator (pre proboscis) that means lining up your attacks to avoid spines etc,
if you're a herbivore you rely on either finding meteors or becoming a pilot fish to one of the big carnivore, and collecting the tokens as it kills things (aslo works if you want to be a scavenger).

Sadly the proboscis needs a fix as even if you swim into something else mouth you bite first, and it just pretty much ends the challenge.

it has more a of a polished flash game feel to it, and is quite fun, rather than just dull like the rest of the game.

No point in playing this game. As soon as you get into space you get randomly attacked every two turns by some massive empire and they torch your homeworld

******* ANNOYING :@

Pretty unimpressed with this so far, I'm up to the tribal stage. Hoping it will improve but I'm not holding my breath.

Bought this today and I'm really struggling to get into to it. Is fun to a point but the fact that my 12 year old daughter is so much better than me says it all right now.

Got this delivered today and have been playing for a few hours. Cant say I'm that impressed, it has some nice touches but it seems more childrens science orientated. Luckily Stalker CS should be here tommorow so I can shelve this cack.

It's too simple. None of the stages have any depth. The space stage had the most content, but by that stage I was already using matches to keep my eyes open.

Creating my own creatures, buildings and vehichles got boring very fast.

im now 2 bars from the end of space stage (have no idea what happens when i get all ranks :O) ive met the strange race in the center of the galaxy... you guessed it, they have a alliance all around the center, and you have to make it through to the center without dieing, ive only JUST got my shield and all the mega weps, so i should survive my next try (you get tons of ships on your but the further you get in)

im liking it :D mainly because i cured my bordem with gettint all the badges that got me cool stuff, like i can now travel through wormholes, makes like easier make new and easy trading routes from the other side of the galaxy

its a good game, just needs a lot of time and patience... either that or i am so immature im loving it lol

What makes you say that considering nothing we have been shown before has been cut out?

The underwater cities which were promised were cut, and its been stated they will be in the next expansion. Theres other stuff too if you google it.
The game as it stands now is very different from how it was first introduced many years back. At first your actions determined your genetic route - not simply placing things on your creature on a whim.

I've been playing it all evening and while some of the phases are a bit on the underwhelming side (creature phase especially), the space phase more than makes up for this. Its great when you come across a planet colonised by creatures you created months ago with the creature creator. I've found some of mine in the creature, tribal and civ stages of evolution. Will be interesting to see if any have made it to the space stage yet :D.
