But...
...After rescuing my first "buddy" I have to say I'm not too impressed with the game /so far/
Whilst the performance is good even on Ultra High the graphical polish is nowhere near Crysis and there is this distinct "skip" or pause/resume in the video motion that happens every few seconds, it's very short but very noticeable if you're like me and notice small details.
I did notice many texture popups and glitches but on the whole the character animations and dynamics seem to be nicely done. The voice acting however is not, it sounds too rushed or like a badly dubbed Japanese movie (pretty much any dubbed Jap movie).
I have a few screenshots here:

It's not a game I'd otherwise spend any money on, certainly not over £15 anyway because it doesn't have the level of polish for a game asking for full retail price.
IMO Crysis Warhead DOES has the level of polish and presentation that asks for such a price.
I also wish there could have been more interaction with objects and things like in Crysis. As it is in FC2 you can only interact with objects that are meant to be so so you can't pick up a bottle and throw it at people or anything like that.
Meh, I'll continue playing and hope it picks up but first impressions aren't great. I'll probably sell it within the next week if it remains like this though.
I'm also reading Dead Space on the PC has very clunky controls so both games feel like they are more suited to a console than on the PC.
So looks like it's down to GTA4 and Left 4 Dead to cater for my primary gaming and Bully etc for the odd 30-60 mins of gaming before work and stuff.
