*** Far Cry 2 1680 x 1050 max settings Top List ***

Heres mine, does it look normal ? (Specs in sig)

Without a doubt. In crysis when I went from a 3Ghz 4200+ x2 to my 3.6Ghz quad I gained 12 fps so probably far cry 2 would be similar.

crysis is gpu dependant so anything over 3.2 means minimal fps improvement

your minimum may increase a bit but the max will stay the same

not sure if this applies to FC2
but judging by the results so far i think it does apply

edit*
having said that - when i went from my 4800X2 @3ghz to my e6300 @3GHz there was a 10fps increase

ROFLMAO you argue with me then agree with me in the edit? I would agree with you about 3.2Ghz on the Intel platform but a big difference between the AMD AM2 and the Intel processors and it does make a difference in all games I find.

I also think it depends on what card your running not just the game. Pretty sure [email protected] ghz with an x2 is not gonna be gpu limited. Same would probably apply to top end sli and crossfire setups.

not arguing
i mean in the difference in amd/intel
perhaps some of the older amd dualcores cause bottlenecks

dunno really, it was a generalisation i guess there still arent enough results for amd systems to make a judgement

anyone get really low fps for the first half of the test and then they go about twice as high for the last half?

on the second loop do you still get the low fps at the start?

if so try alt tabbing out then in again just as the first loop has loaded, do you still get the low fps at the start?

Here's my entry

Vista 64

Runs on average 10fps faster for me under DX10,but alas it stutters with the hotfix drivers as for most single card user's(just look at the graph on dx19 for the minute spikes). Hurry ATI or Ubi sort it out.

Wrong test

Will post a screenie soon, but here is my DX9 results
average 78.60
max 126.42
min 57.64

DX10 takes quite a big hit compared.
average 52.72
max 75.66
min 36.58

[email protected], 4 gig ram 1.1 467fsb. 4870x2 stock speeds.
I actually play at 1920*1200 with 16x AS no AA, DX10 mode and it runs really well

Might have a little play with my clocks later as I can get more out of CPU and GPUs are stock.
Should be able to break 80 fps on the DX9 test

Just done this test at 1920*1200 and it runs just aswell in DX9
average 78.06
max 118.77
min 56.01
