Sure he did :p Would be a very badly coded game if he got spawned behind you! And why just the one guy, usually its several - anyway, we don't agree but hey its still a good game right? I had some of the most fun playing cod 2 veteran than I did any other :)
 
I said earlier if I take another step then two spawn. I think it's pretty obvious what happened as it's obvious to see from the video there wasn't a man in the area until I set of the spawn trigger.
 
CoD 2 = Enemies will spawn behind you and around you. Seen it myself loads.
CoD 3 = Enemies will spawn behind you, in front of you etc. Experienced it myself loads and never finished the game because of that, and one very awful forest level.

I have whined and complained about vet mode for ages now. You don't require no skill to complete a level, you just need to 'push' forward to the next checkpoint and you will get there. I used that method in CoD 2 and 4 and it always worked. If in doubt, just rush forward before the spawns occur and for the most part you will get through. Its just tedious rather than fun.

Ok explain to me how that soldier got there then. Was he hiding in the cab of the truck? Did he have a predator skin so he could merge in with the sand? How exactly did he get there when you can clearly see me check all paths.

I dont want to turn this guys thread into an argument, but the guy wasnt spawned behind you - thats never happened to me once yet.

****ing hell yet you offer no explantion how he got there. Its not an argument because you cannot offer up any explantion or alternative.

Game over.
 
To be fair - dannyjo is right on this one, its one of the many horrible things about COD2 veteran. A bit silly really, the games not really that difficult with a bit of strategic planning, its just the random respawns that make it frustrating...
 
Wow just done hold the line, the level where you hold off the advancing german army with every thing you have. Best level I've ever played on this game type. Finding somehwhere to hide and pick them off, wow awesome.

Then you go to the top of the building to hit the tanks with artillery. Loved it.
 
WTF I'm on the level where you have to man the anti air gun and shoot down the incoming aircraft. The level checkpointed and I have to get on the gun but there are 4 men still on the walls, one on each wall, N, E ,S and west.

I have about 10 seconds to get to the gun or the first aircraft drops it's bombs but if I get on the gun the men on the walls kill me. Its not possible to take out more than two of them while running to the gun. So I get on the gun and they kill me.

Any help?

Hmm... Thats weird, because it shouldn't have checkpointed if all 4 walls wernt cleared - that was the objective before wasn't it? Cant you smoke the floor around you and let your guys take care of them whilst you shoot the planes down?
 
Yeah I've done some reading when moving round to take the guys out it's triggered eachs walls er trigger and I was screwed. There wasn't even enough time for a smoke grenande to cover.

Luckily I'd backed an earlier save up to the memory card so only had to go back half a level, phew. Done it now.

Onto normandy!

Lucky! I just remembered the rest of that level, was one of the hardest for me I think

Yeah the long fights through the alleys with snipers in buildings and loads of enemies that come from all sides. Sometimes long fights between checkpoints. One took me about 45 minutes of picking people off til it checkpointed. You also start in the vehicle and you get ambushed. Loads of enemies high above you on all sides. Thats was tough to get started.

I had to keep using the trigger trick. Running forward to an imaginary line that gets your team moving forward then retreat while they clean up.

Yeah unfortunately that's what has to be done, its fun seeing a bunch of invincible guys running into all those germans though :D
 
Right I've been trying to get started on normandy for nearly 2 hours now. I climb the cliff and then I'm stuck. I know I have to get to the bunker on the far side of the map but I go all the way to the left and i'm in a trench. I manage to jump ou the trench and hide in a dummy gun emplacement. There are two machine gun placements covering the run to the bunker.

I have tried throwing all four smokes to cover my run. I get whacked.

I've tried killing the machine gunners by shiping and they respawn another gunner?

Where do I go?

dannyjo is right, the german is spawning, suprisingly that particular level on vet I breezed through, its the one where you destroy weapons cache's in the bunkers yes?

Mind you some other easy levels on Vet I really struggled with
