*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

Yea own up the lower tiers as much as possible. Have fun while you can. Then prepare to get stomped by the players about to enter the next tier ;]

In the past I've had 1400+ ticks of damage from 1 bw, so when you go up against 3+, there really is no counter.

So you really expect to survive when being focused by 3 DPS casters ?
Bright wizards very rarely survive one melee attacker ( WE )

Fetch the BW to you ( cant believe people moan about knockbacks when this is around ), he'll go down quick enough.

When i'm level 40 that is exactly what i'll be doing.

Maybe I just need to l2p, but when you have so many people moaning, and when 50% of the order people i come across are bws then you can't help but think something is up.

Hopefully they are just fotm and 1.1 will help things.

Hitting 40 will also help methinks.

Is the SM good at level 20 Rebel master? Also, what tree you gone down, 1 handed + shield or 2handed monster?

Sword and board for a tank, you reduce your damage by a huge amount, especially as you can even block spells with it. If you want damage, go for a melee dps class. :D

For order - i take it the dwarfs have the melee dps class then as i cant see any for human/elf that good.

The elf archer is fun, but i always seem to be main target in the BG's when i play her for some reason lol. maybe destrucion dont like arrows?

Im sticking with swordmaster for now, good tanking class and not really played a tank before. love the 'hold the line' skill :)

The non-caster DPS classes for order are the engineer, shadow warrior and witch hunter. Engineer is probably the easiest to play, lots of aoe attacks, turrets, sniper type abilities. Lots of fun actually, and quite a bit of depth if you look beyond spamming your damage.

Witch hunter, someone else will really have to tell you about - I only got one to 15 and just got depressed with how difficult it was. Very situational, and stealth seems very patchy.

Shadow warrior is the elf one. NOT just an archer! Take a lot of thought and keeping on your toes to play well, some glaring issues at the moment but not the useless class some people seem to insist it is. Feels weak in some scenarios because you need a bit of space to do your thing properly.

They all have paper armour mind you.

Yeah they kick ass, armour looks awsome too.

Well it depends on what im playing.
PVE: 2Hander for ultimate damage
PVP: Sword and Shield for staying alive a bit longer. Sometimes i'll go for a 2h if theres not many destruction around me level, just to cause havoc :D

Only thing to critisise is in tier2 scenarios everybody see's the number '20' and automatically targets you. So I get killed when theres not a healer behind me

Got a lvl 10 SW, i get picked on a lot with that one in the BG's lol... fair enough, she hurts if you let her, but i do find i use the skirmish and scout modes a lot now.

My engineer is only lvl 7, but its fun to play.

Still like the SM, think i need to change tree's though as i went down the 2handed route and find im using shield + poking stick a lot now.

I think i need to look at pots to increase me in the BG's also my armour needs looking at too.

See you all in game on friday.

Witch Hunters can be brutal in Scenarios, especially when they work in pairs. Had one over the weekend where the casters and healers didn't last seconds as two Witch Hunters appear out of stealth and tear them apart.

Im 22 Runepriest now, it's getting tough.

Im scenario's, i've given up. For finishing top healer almost every time, with usually 70-80k of healing, i get 5k xp and that's if we win a scenario.

A healer that's say lvl 28, heals less, less damage, no db's or single kills, get's 10k+ xp. I this a MAJOR bug or what?

In T2's i'd get about 11k, but sadly can't do those now. It annoys me though, often i single handedly keep a group or two groups going. I've modded my UI so i can heal everyone in a click with the only downtime being my timers. Last night, i kept an ENTIRE keep defence alive, full warband, being the only rezzer (afaik, was only one doing it), outnumbered almost 2:1 by destro. My fingers ache i'm spamming heals so fast. But what for? No rewards, little rp or xp. It's not so fun for a healer, i just help out guilds, but when im spammed "Heal" Rez me!!1", it aint fun. It is becoming extremely difficult to make progress now.

Early levels i got a bit of encouragement, i got the xp for working my arse off, now i get zero. I can't even solo quests, my highest damage spell does 130 damage, set back cast, one of 2 single target i got, i'd need a day off work to kill mobs for quests lol.

Anyway, rant over. I would say i've seen some great balance in this game, and the sides on my server seem evenly matched, slightly skewed to destro now and again, but what i will say is doing PQ's or finding any groups is becoming near impossible and being a class that relies on groups, i might try another class soon.

Aye i left the warpriest at lvl 10 as i noticed too you dont get xp for healing in the BG's, a slight but very anoying error for any healer.

Only way to do quests as healers, as in every other online game ive played them in, is to get a dps class as a team mate. Only in MIR have i seen healers get a pet that can fight for them...

I guess WH is all about the damage.

<ColiN> - if your on K8axe server, feel free to come heal me at weekends. im not great but ill make you laugh :)

Must be a bug of some description, though I do know that you get more xp if you are healing the people doing the most damage.

On my zealot, (lvl 27), I just run around in the scenario healing like mad, and near constantly doing AoE/group heals. I generally get around 60-90k of healing and end up with between 15k and 20k xp. (in fact last night I set a personal new high by getting 23,100 xp)

I would recommend joining a guild for things like PQs, helps immensely and makes things a lot more fun, for instance our guild has dedicated PQ nights every week. Tier 1 PQ nights on a tuesday, Tier 2 PQ nights on a thursday, Tier 3 PQ nights on a sunday, Tier 4 PQ nights on a friday. I'm sure many guilds do a similar thing.

anyone ever do the Gunbad dungeon?

I'd really like to try that but I hardly find anyone up for it. Maybe some assassins of fate would be up sometimes ? :p

Yeah we do it from time to time on our weekly guild Dungeon night. Absolutely awful xp in there, some of the loot is ok, some of it is terrible. But its all fun just getting together for a dungeon romp from time to time :)

I'm a council member in my guild, but there's the problem of my being the only T3 level dwarf, they are all elves, majority of guild are, which is no surprise as the word 'Elf' is in the name. So i do join in with their Chap 11 + 12 PQ's occasionally, just a bit disheartening as i haven't done any prior.

Must be a bug then, because it seems mad to get penalised for being lower level, surely the opposite should apply. It's all T3 scenario's too, so like say i have 75k heals, 10k damage, 1 DB,etc. Another guy, high 20's, has say 40k heals, 8k damage, no DB's. His xp is double.

Maybe it's a grouping thing? Sometimes i'm already in a guild group and i enter scenario's on the off chance without that group, though i usually just queue on my own like everyone else.

Still, one thing that remains ok is the reknown, i still get that proportional, moreso maybe than others, so like 600+ reknown.

Lvl 20 reknown now lol.
