Me and about 8 of my mates all have lol.
It was good, it had some nice touches but then its not as good a wow.

:D

I did not take War beyond the 1 month inluded. Will I go back to it in 6 months to check it out? Yep !!! .. Will I be playing wotlk when it comes out? No, but after a week I might ;)

I'm taking a break from WAR but will probably go back to it sometime. I don't know if i could do WoW again...i mean i did have a good time on it but it was really addictive and theres not much new for me to see in terms of gameplay.

But for now...Xbox! gears of war 2 and cod5 and more

Playing Wahmmer and EVE at the mo. not really interested in wow now most of the people i knew have either gone to other guilds or left. Also not able to find a good guild that will let me join as soon as i say i only play weekend for 5-6 hours. So no point.

May, after a few weeks of lichy being out, go and level my mage to 70 as the fly high gank low people should have moved out of the lvl 61 area by then.

Other than that, not much to drag me back in to be honest.

WH and EVE for me :)

Definitely not going back to WoW, sticking to WAR for now but really completing all the wonderful singleplayer games that are out right now and playing CoD: WaW

I'll be giving up WAR for a while while they sort out the issues, I'm defo not playing wow but I bought an xbox 360 and 8 games so that will amuse me for a while

Still in WAR at the moment, but if I did leave it absolutely would not be to go back to WoW. WoW had its time, theres really no way I would go back to it now, it simply does not have anything in it that has any appeal for the kind of MMO I like.

I think a lot of people will go to WoW when WoTLK comes out though, how long they will remain once they go back though I dont know.

Sadly, WAR will be my final MMO. Frankly MMOs these days are simply utter crap compared to the golden era of UO, AC and early Daoc. MMOs today just dont have the magic of those for me, today its all too easy, too solo orientated and too unsocial. They are virtually single player orpgs these days.

When I have finished with WAR, I will return to LAN gaming and things like Fallout 3 and Empire Total War Etc.

Not going back to WoW, but WAR isnt really gripping me either. The levelling to 40 was pretty good, but im just having much more fun playing console and other single player and co-op games at the moment.

Pretty much agree with all of the above.
Never ever going back to WoW as its best days are long gone - its now simply degenerated into Blizzard's idiot friendly money making excercise with no soul left which is saddening having spent many a joyous hour in MC/BWL and AQ40 but hey ho. Life goes on.
Admitedly War was not the game I had hoped it would be, but if anything its put me off going back to WoW even more as it simply highlights the fact that it taps into the materialistic greedy aspects within people and milks them for all its worth.

Spot on. That is exactly what I think. The game used to be godly.

I think Burning Crusade was complete **** and I can't see wrath fixing it.

I didn't get past the first month of WAR, although I will give it a try in a few months to see how its going. Not going back to WoW though, never played it & I'm not all that interested tbh. With all the console games & AoC I don't have time for another MMO

WH for me
Not going back to Wow and the thought of lvling another 10 lvls just to start the long hall on getting the best kit in Dng's again with all the DKP and raids not thanks

with WH I nearly didn't even start playing Live after doing Closed beta for a few months tbh as I didn't think it was ready or as Polished as WOW Beta

but any one leaving yes try again in 6 months
a RVR based game take time to settle at the monment in open RVR it mostly Zergs with one side having much higher Rank or Number advantage

a few months from now this will settle down and be a lot more tactics and gameplay bias
Well I hope so other wise I'll be looking for a new game :)

Blizzard have totally lost the plot, and I'm shocked there hasn't been more backlash over the ridiculous choices they've made.

The dumbing down was pretty bad in the switch to TBC, in Wraith, its just unreal...instant spec switching, +Spellpower (belm), Paladins being able to DPS (and tank, and heal...), Wellfare Epics (remember pre-BC when you saw someone in full epics? It was quite rare), 10-man end game raids, boring linear instances (Bring back open ones, like BRD)

Yet people seem to just accept it...

Not really - I think a lot of people are secretly glad Blizzard turned their once life devouring addiction into a pitiful shadow of its former self.
Makes giving it up all the more easy, and you can reap the rewards of experiencing all the other stuff you never used to do because of raiding or whatever.

playing war currently, well i havent pld for over a week now and i have no urge to go back either (although i think its a great game)

as for wow i am just done with it completely, same old content with diff gfx

I didnt manage to do the full free month, i wont be going back but i am glad i tried it.

I dont know if i can ever find a really great mmo now or if the days have gone.

im older and peoples attitudes have changed; whereas in 1999, people were like 'ohhh lets all team up and explore/quest'

now they are more like 'get out the way thats mine gief gief leetspeak killz0r loladin tankadin oomkin'

i wonder if we will still even have an english language in 10 years from now - i shudder to think what mmo's will be like.

maybe some company should just go whole hog and release chav online.

i've currently got 2 or 3 days left on my WAR subscription, however not playing it as i've hit a wall with leveling.. and its boring just doing quests all the time. it was good with all the public quests and RvR. But i dont think i'll play it until the Black guards are added.

I was playing Lineage 2 (private server) for roughly 4 years.. and tho questing etc was pants, the pvp, pve plus clan raiding stuff kept me going. :P

As for WoW, i was playing that for roughly 2 months before i got bored, so most definitely wont be going back there, most of my friends will be on it though

Currently playing a lot of Dead Space, Red Alert 3 and World of Goo, surprisingly single player games have made a comeback for me,

I really enjoyed WoW, I missed out on all the pre-tbc stuff but have raided solidly for about a year, killing Kil'Jaedon last week and getting all the pre-sunwell t6 and some nice Sunwell items. But as others have said, I'm not really that hot on all the changes blizzard have made.

While I have Wrath on pre-order, I'm not sure I will stick with it as the game has been dumbed down beyond all belief, it's rediculasly easy to play and all the spells have had their nuances removed so it really is just a button mashing fest.

- An example is the prot paladin Avenging Shield. At first it had a cast time and would break CC if it bounced onto a CC'd mob, but if it was aimed correctly you could get it to bounce how you wanted and leave the CC up. They then made it so it wouldn't break CC where ever you shot it (unless directly at a CC'd target). They have now made it instant cast aswell, removing the penatly that you used to have when firing it in combat of leaving yourself open to hits (you cant block when casting). So it has gone from a powerful ability that took skill and judgement to utilize correctly, especially when in combat, to a button mashing attack that is simply spammed on every single cooldown. No skill, no challenge.

Everyone runs around in full epics almost as soon as they hit the level cap and the crafting system is simply to simple to be captivating.

I agree with the above posts that the golden age of mmorpgs are kinda over (UO, Starwars one pre-screwup etc, early WoW etc). Those games seemed to have a real depth that just isn't apparent to me in the latest batch of games. I remember in the Starwars one, joining a guild who gave me a house in the town they were building in the middle of nowhere, it had a town hall and player shops and everything, and it was awesome fighting off the imperials as they attacked it even though I was a low level and didn't really know what was going on. It was worlds apart from the static, easymode, grindfest that WotLK looks like it is going to be.

The only bad point is online gaming has kinda spoiled me now and I find single player games frankly boring and pointless, I have to play with\against other humans, defeating the AI in a single player game just doesn't cut the mustard anymore!!! sigh, maybe I'm just getting old :\
