Yeah, I love the shotgun :p Though I do often end up holding down R for almost the entire level due to how quick/easy it is to reload...

The Boomers are indeed probably one of the coolest enemies, even I keep thinking of BattleStar Gallactica as I play.

Yes. Buy retail, open box, enter CD Key into Steam, download. Throw box and CD away and spend the £10 saving on Pizza and beer

You forgot to mention the much shorter install time that the disk provides (assuming you fall foul of the terrible download speeds Steam sometimes displays) :p
 
Well the game runs amazing, looks amazing (see here) and is amazing!

The only issue I had was that it CTD randomly with a l4d.exe crash!
 
Anyone else finding it near impossible to actually get a game? It takes half an hour to get into one, and then you get booted off. Fail.
 
There is actually a server browser in the pc version, type openserverbrowser in the console to open it. To use it click on the custom tab to view games. Some games seem to only let you join if you;re in the game lobby.

I chucked a petrol bomb at her, lit her up and she came running and slapped me one making me need revived. :mad:

I was laughing too hard when i seen her running around on fire to do much.

Ditto :D once it all calms down I can't wait! I am glad the server browser was only hidden and not removed, will make things much easier.
 
Never dips below 60, although I accidentally just turn into the host, having to deal with all the AI dropped me into the low teens during horde fights.

Everything is superb, but I kinda thought there would be more options. You can't really deviate, the path is very linear. I suppose it doesn't matter that much, what with the director.
 
Just managed to have my 1st online game, after waiting in the lobby for a fair bit :rolleyes:

It was heptic and fun :D

We played on the advanced difficulty, and boy it was tough, at the end of the 1st lvl me and another player were backpadaling towards the safe room with little to no health, unloading everything into a never ending horde of zombies, while the other 2 players did their best to give covering fire, we bearly made it :o

I know it was my 1st game, but I saw some great team work, helping each other, moving as a team and using 1st aid kits on each other. We got close to hugging when were all in a train, being attacked from all sides, especially when a boomer and a hunter decided to join in...

All I want now is some more dedicated servers.

We met her in the last room of map 2, she managed to kill a team mate and tried to run away, but i got her 1/2 way up a wall with the the minigun :D
