Not always the case - it'll depend on what kind of driving situations will be up ahead. What may seem like a pointless overtake at the time could be one that makes a lot of sense at the busy roundabout or crowded junction 600 yards down the road![]()
Theres one near me called Focus, and they teach in a focus
Tbh I understand people who overtake a learner who is doing stupidly low speeds, like 15 in a 30, or 40 in an NSL zone. However, what really annoys me is when people see it as acceptable to overtake a learner who is doing the speed limit. No excuse other than to try and intimidate the learner and show off.
From 600 yards away? Yeah, I would. 600 yards is a over half a kilometre. It takes me seconds to overtake a learner. I'll "put the shovel down" if you get a calculator out, lol. You'd overtake into a busy roundabout?Put the shovel down.
I was never overtaken as a learner, only passed one multi-lane roads such as dual carriageways. Everyone else does know better than you, this has been proven countless times.
simply to big to learn in really.
To be honest, people are only going to go out and buy something similar when they pass - better to learn in a slightly bigger car then, that go out and have no idea later
other cars like new Ford Focus's and there just simply to big to learn in really

My driving instructor was called Mr Pratt.
