I quit playing because of 1000+ PvP battles.

It goes like this:

Jump through a gate.
Stare at a blank screen for an hour
Go make dinner
Stare at a blank screen a bit more
Re-log, and discover that you are dead and in a clone on the other side of the bloody galaxy.

Oh yeah. Large scale PvP in EVE is fun fun fun.... :rolleyes:

I played for about 4 Months then didn't have the spare time to play.

This was over a year ago! Worth activating my old account and having another bash now I have some spare time? :)

Its good to see it improves on the patches, and the patches are FREE, not £29.99 once a year wich is nice hehe....

Will be back blowing up rats and pirates this weekend too :)

You know whats really putting me off coming back?

Having to move all my stuff from a 0.0 entrance. I've a freighter ALT, butr my god, is that thing soooooo bloody slow.

I'll come back then EVE gets Fed-Ex.

Sell everything, get podded, back to start.... simple and quick :) or hire a load of people to ride shotgun over you as you go from one system to the next :)

You're somewhat underestimating just how much stuff I have. It would take weeks of sell orders to get it all shifted.

Could just whore the markets and scam a few people for a week and get a few billion to start up elsewhere and leave that stuff sitting where it is. It just takes too much time....and while whoring the markets I feel like I'm playing Excel: Online. :o

Don't get me wrong here, best MMO I've ever played, but everything just takes so much time!

decided i would try the 14 day free trial. Any advice on what to do when starting out? Looks like the learning curve is very steep
 
Take time to do the tutorial. Skills train when you're offline so train ones that last until you log back on again so that you're not missing out on training time. It's worthwhile to get the learning skills up a bit as it'll save you time later on should you stick at it.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. It's been pretty quiet lately but there's usually someone in the OcUK chat channel, I'm sure they'll help with any problems you have.

Left hand side click on "channels & mailing lists", select the "channel" tab, click on "join" then enter "OcUK". Think thats how it works if you're unsure.
