The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

Oh yeah just foudn v2 shishkebab. Its in a little makeshift hut southeast of fort constantine. Theres a massive dish array next door its between that and the fort. Theres a power armour woman patrolling next to it.

yeah not got to rivet city yet - keep getting distracted :D
Yeah, I know the feeling. I have put so many hours into this game without getting far into the main quest. This has to be the best exploration game I have played and each location always has something unique.

Anyway just trust me on this one, put all your points into repair as it does a couple of things at once; improved condition, damage and more caps due to cutting down on weight (selling less items for more)

This has to be one the best games I have played for years and I even hated Oblivion.

Do you take this same aprouch in real life. Do you just wish you could click through peoples conversations?

In real life you can't be a complete a**hole to someone then a few seconds later expect them to be your best friend. In FO3 you can. The choice of what to say has no bearing on the outcome of the game. The only way to play is to go through the dialogue again and again until you've exhausted every line of speech, from every different "karma" standpoint.

I wish it was like the witcher where if you said something bad you actually had to stick with it, unlike this game where nothing you say has any consequence whatsoever. It's boring and a waste of time.

This games is based on what you do instead, stealing and murdering. Theres nothing wrong witht he dialogue though. Thing is I've so far gone through without saying the bad stuff and just asumed that if I chose the one I couldn't say the other without my karma getting ruined. This game is meant to be played the way you want. So if you want to be good and evil do it. If you want to be one or the other then just use one or the other. Just because its there to be clicked on doesn't mean you have to. This game is very open ended. I just killed a whole slaver camp becuase he wouldn't let me in :) There was probably a big story driven quest to go with it but oh well.

Besides if you've only just got to megaton you haven't scratched the surface. So don't start judging it yet. I love witcher but this is ten times better.

Why do you HAVE to go through every speech option? I have played the game through normaly, just having proper conversations with the NPCs, i didnt attempt to try and ask every option available because my character was good so i wasn't going to say the more evil things. Does this mean i may not got all quests? yes, but then again i dont want that character to do evil quests.

On my 2nd time round when my character will be evil, then i will stick to the more evil speech options rather then the good.

Has anyone got to a point where you have to meet the Slaves at the Lincoln Memorial? Ive decided to escort them all the way (about 20 mins into a possible hour hike!), but will any of them get there if i dont escort them?

If you want lots of ammo and good guns then go to wheaton armory

You have to travel through quite a bit of radiation and kill lots of wastelanders but its worth it. Couple of missile launchers, a minigun, couple of sniper rifles and lots of machine guns and tons of ammo.

Yes m8, they will arrive if you don't escort them.

If you "Fast Travel" to the Memorial, you will most probably arrive well before they do. Probably end up with their sidequest marker on your map but there will be no sign of them.

Happened to myself and a few others here. All you need to do is use the "Wait" function - set it for a reasonable amount of time ( I set mine to about 14 hours if I remember right ) and then they "appear".

;)

Okay, I'm loving this game so far :D I've sunk far too many hours into it though...

Anyway, my character is 'good' so I didn't blow up megaton. But for those of you that did - could you still do Moira's 'survival guide' quests? I know she survives in some form. I ask because I'm thinking of restarting soon as an evil guy :)

Also, has anyone found a trader with a better repair skill than Moira? (skill =21 or something, which lets her repair to 54%). Obviously I repair my own weapons and armour where possible, but for hard-to-find items like the plasma rifle, sniper rifle or enclave power armour it's sometimes neccesary to have a trader repair it.

Loving the experimental M.I.R.K - fires 8 nukes at once! Completely impractical but fun :D

The national guard depot armoury has loads of ammo etc as well, worth a visit if you can get past robots

Just got to GNR, as the last of Moira's quest needs me to go to Rivet City, and apparently going there before GNR makes you miss out on some quests.

The Behemoth was awesome! :D
