Anytime i try and join a server it just immediately says "connection with session has been lost". Like literally as soon as i click join. Doesnt even seem to be trying to make the connection.
 
Finally got into a game, is it me or do the infected not seem as tough when you actually use them? Even tanks seem to go down quicker than the ai varations do.
 
Ok playing as infected imo is totally boring. Most servers seem to have between a 20-30 second respawn delay, and even then sometimes the timer will count down and you'll still not spawn for maybe another 30-60 seconds for some unknown reason. And after you do respawn (most likely as a hunter as that seems to be the main class the game assigns) you get taken down stupidly fast, even if you do pounce on someone the damage you deal with a few swipes seems to amount to nothing.

Possibly wait for a minute to spawn then get taken down inside of a quarter that time? Not exactly my idea of fun spending half my time speccing.

I was on a map just now (some trainyard forest style map) an all we got was boomers and hunters, no smoker no tank just those two classes.

There doesnt seem to be any element of suprise in it, mainly because all the infected classes may as well be running around with 50 foot neon signs above their heads, they make so much easily distinguishable noise suprising people seems to be almost impossible.

Boomer makes an obvious grumbling\gargling\belching sound, and the hunter makes a sound like a rabid dog humping someones leg, smoker just coughs... =/ Ill give it another go tommorow but right now infected class really does seem amazingly weak, respawns are also far too long.

Its fun fighting against them for some of the above reasons but playing as them just seems to be more speccing than actual playing.

at least you can play dunno what is up with my steam but I can't log on anymore apparently it doesn't love me anymore, even tho I paid mutliple games ........

It was strange we were struggling to complete No Mercy : Part 3 on expert. We had to wap it down to advanced and then we just couldn't complete No Mercy : Part 4 on expert :)

We did it earlier on! Sneaky AI director. When there was only 1/2 of us left it always seemed to spawn a horde or smoker/hunter/boomer combo's.
 
did the first 2 chapters/movies last night, both on advanced as the tanks were just too much on expert (though DEFINATELY playing through it again on expert some time)

It's so easy to get hooked on playing for hours on end with this damn game, the missus was looking at me in complete disgust by the time i stopped playing at 11pm...i started at 6 :o
 
Me and my friends had a good thing going on the last part of no mercy expert.

Get on the stairs of the radio building, two looking up and two facing the door, you are close to the ammo, everyone has a pipebomb if in real trouble, and its very easy to fight them all off.

When the tanks spawn, kite them around the area outside and rush back in for the next wave of regular zombies.

Hope they buff the Infected a bit and let us choose which class to play :( Hate getting stuck being a hunter round after round.

Sounds a lot like me when i play CS:S :p.

I am sort of looking forward to playing as the zombie class, however if what you say is true then valve will no doubt release another few patches to beef them up a bit.

When ever there is one guy left and then the others respawn, a smoker will always get you before you can get to the door. This happened a lot! grrr. :D
 
Anyone else annoyed that theres only 10 weapons in the game? I don't wont to go overboard and have 25 different guns but may be 3-4 more for added variation. Some of their models aren't the best as well. Can't wait to play the full game though. My bro ordered 2 copies from the forest site

pipe bombs, molotivs, auto shotty, shotgun, uzi, m4 with scope, m16 what else?
