Grand Theft Auto 4

I just want MP :(

If I load the game with Social Club signed in it crashes with the MM10 error. If I logout of social club it loads fine but wont let me play MP.

Received my game today and just installed it now and thought I'd pop in here to have a look at what people thought. Saw how long this thread was and was thinking wow this game must be a belter but not quite what I expected after reading some of the posts here! It has been out since April as well so it isn't like they haven't had enough time to work on it and I believe this was delayed by a month or so as well.

Further than I am, I'm in a downloaded loop on Steam. Not impressed at all. All day downloading and it's started again after saying 100%

Looks like this game is turning out to be poor :(.

If i'd known it would be like this i wouldn't of bought it. I'm still downloading it, so i'll see how it runs first, but looks like it runs like crap anyway, lol.

I'm very close to saying that tbh. Only when I saw the water, the rest of the city across the river and a sunset I changed my mind...

The main fault is the lack of AA, models just look from pre 2000 because of all the jaggies...

It would look superb if everything was smoothed out and minor motion blur added.

Press P during the game. This adds the motionblur the console versions have and slightly smoothens edges.

I take it that people now won't be able to offload this second hand since it's been register/authenticated/attached to your NIS, etc?

I was soo looking forward to this aswell. Thought my 4870 + 3ghz core 2 would handle it no probs. Just played it now and how wrong I was....

I'm sure with custom configs this would be possible, however with only 512mb of ram on your graphics card the game would grind to a halt so it wouldn't even be worth it. They've limited it for a reason.

""They've limited it for a reason""
Yepp and to force people into buying the high end cards like the 280,Well im not going down that path!
I think my 8800GT is ok for the moment:)

For any other game i would agree, however if you want this unoptimized pile of donkey testicles to run 'well' on the higher settings you will need something better unfortunately.

But as i have stated several times, if you're going to upgrade your PC for one game, don't do it for this one, imo it just isn't that good.

Getting a refund from the

Purple Bold Font Highstreet shop :(

is nigh on impossible for PC games. They generally only take them back if they are still sealed and will try to blame all "unfit for purpose" and "it is a hideously mutilated mess of a game" logic on the specification of your PC.
