Grand Theft Auto 4

I haven't tried that yet, but every GTA has a few missions with an excessive difficulty level :( I don't know why they have to make them like that. Most of us play games for fun and relaxation, not to perform the task perfectly but still come up short. That isn't fun, it is just frustrating.

Reminds me of the race in Mafia before they patched the game to make it easy. It's the only game I ever got angry with

Haven't got very far yet, but I'm enjyoing it immensely.

As I haven't explored very much though, can someone give me a tip where there might be a TV set with more programs to watch than the few on the one in the rat hole?

The parts I've seen are hilareous, and I could spend more than an hour or two just watching some more. Any tips?

lol you did well then. Did you do it on the keyboard where every turn could send the car into a spin? :)
My friend used a joypad and found it much easier on one of those.

Against my better judgement I've ordered GTAIV, but I shall delay installing it until after xmas when a patch or two should be out :)

As I play through the game more, I find myself becoming increasingly frustrated by the very sluggish movement and fighting the camera all the time.

It didn't matter so much when the missions were easy, but for the tougher ones it's infuriating to die because Nico won't move where you want, or go faster. The cops are after him and he needs to get to a car quick but he walks in slow motion despite you frantically tapping the space bar. Pfft.

16% into the game (5 hours straight!!) and no crashes. Running on a q6600 @ 3.4, 8800gtx bfg oc2, vista 64, 4gig ram. Main settings are render at high, textures at medium, draw distance and detail at 50. detail and distance at anything more than 50 is not noticable and less and you can see buildings 100m away turn into blocks. Could up my rendering but i just notice more jaggies and less fps. It a real fun game and a must for all PC gamers. Thinking of getting the latest gfx drivers to see if I get a performance upgrade (not that its needed for me).

Questions:
Anyone know how to hale a taxi down?
Anyone noticed the weird bouncy water effect?
Worth overclocking from 3.4ghz to 3.6ghz?

Play Midnight Club Los Angeles and Grand Theft Auto IV online all weekend to challenge Rockstar at their own games and then go to Rockstar Games Social Club for chances to compete for limited-edition Rockstar gear and prizes.

They don't have time to play it! ;) Yeah that would rock actually - some guy from Rockstar playing.. then pop-in-out-in textures, slow down, crash :) Even though I've had zero crashes while playing - it sometimes fails to load to menu and forgets my graphics settings every time it loads.

I upgraded to the Beta drivers for a performance boost, only to have my machine now crash on start-up. \o/ WIN!

Never had a single crash on GTA4 apart from the inital teething problems with RSC...

Why don't you enable 'always sprint ' toggle ?

Any tips please?

Isn't space jump?

Only if you use the retarded standard keymap.

Jump for me is mouse2.

Is that not just the mission that you follow the train until the guy gets off. Then kill him.
