Right I bit the bullet and thought I'd go in for a quick look this afternoon for the first time in 8 years.

I didn't even realise it was that bad. Looked worse than Poundstretcher. Glad to see the back of it if I'm honest, now the old Dickens near me can be transformed into something worthwhile.

Edit: Woolies also has some of the most unhelpful staff on the planet, second only to McDonalds in their apathy, so deserves to close really

Are we to just feel sorry for them and not even talk about the sale? Of course we are sorry for them, we are sorry for the whole situation the country is in, some of us need sales because we too have been hit by all of this. Remember they are not the only ones whose jobs are under threat.

Besides, at least half of them will probably get jobs again with whoever takes over the store at which they actually work.

haha, just had some of this in the news and I had to laugh at the complaints from the people coming out saying it was a rip off and that there wasnt any 50% off deals, only 10 and 20%!
