No its nothing to do with the credit 'crunch'.....Ok so i have a total gym for some times now but hardly ever use it. Now i've put on a little weight recently and for my new years resolution im going to hit 100 situps every day.

Now motivation is a real issue for me so here comes your part.

********************
Use a webcame to record the 100 situps and at the end show a A4 sheet of paper with a number on it. Everyday we exchange video's to confirm its been done & the number must be different each time.
********************

Its a bit like when your going to the gym but cant be bothered but if youre going with another person its a lot more difficult to cancel.

So if anyone is interested in getting fit from the 1st of Jan 2009 then reply to this and as GTA IV Brucie would say "lets go VIP on this maaaaaan".

Lol...mate you need to get some protein powder from holland & barret, it's on offer at the moment i think. You'll lose weight in now time and get big muscles too!!!!

Oh dear...

100 situps a day isn't going to make you lose weight.

Nope, it wont. If you want to lose weight OP start hitting the cardio.

Few points:

1. You cannot lose weight and gain muscle at the same time, it's one or the other as it's to do with calorie intake.

2. Stomach crunches et al. will not make you lose weight or improve definition. To do this you will need to include cardio (running, swimming, cycling, etc.)

3. Diet and sleep are very important.

I suggest you read this.

What's wrong? EVERYONE knows that eating protein powder makes you get really big quickly.

You cannot lose weight and gain muscle mass at the same time!

Muscles however, help to burn more fat/calories so you could theoretically lose more weight when you do eventually 'cut'.

Protein powder does not make you grow alone, it is merely a supplement. Protein is what muscles use to grow bigger, but this takes a lot of hard work not just scoffing a milkshake now and then.

When you exercise, muscles are actually damaged; they grow during rest and this is when your body will be using the protein.

Hopefully Morba or Freefaller will be along shortly to tell you the ins and outs.
