I keep getting blue screens :(

Hmmm, just had another bluescreen, i was downloading something and temps were only at 42 degrees so it weren't overheating.

Have you tried upping the voltage of the memory in the bios manually? That would be my first port of call.
The Geil black dragon evo one working voltage is 1.9-2.0 volts according to geils website, so try putting it up to 2.0

Also you could try running your memory with a 1:1 ratio to the cpu, which would mean running it at 533. That's presuming your not overclocking which judging by the screenshots you're not.
A little bit more voltage through the cpu probably wouldn't hurt either. I know my board (P5E) suffers from a little bit of vdroop.

Well, i got yet another blue screen last night so went to bed. I've just restarted now and upped the RAM voltage to 2.00v, thing is though, BIOS temps are reading 10 degrees higher than Blackbox and Coretemp - which are both showing 45ish degrees, BIOS is showing as about 55 degrees.

Here's a couple of screen shots i took last night.

Error reports

And

Reliability monitor

Edit: I've also run Vistas memory diagnostic tool with no errors just now.

Are you only having problems with Firefox ? If so I would uninstal it & run without it for a bit to see if it stable without it.
You cannot judge a system by only using one prog or getting crashes whilst using just one prog, I'd blame a dirty instal or spyware in that case & would use IE7 for a bit to see where I was with my system before I did owt else.
I know you said it crashed playing HL2 before but what about since you re seated the HSF ?

No, it's not just firefox, it crashes with HL2 still, Google Earth too. I've just downloaded and tried installing SP1 for Vista, went for 5 minutes then BSOD'd again, tried again, it BSOD'd Again.

Have you run the hard disk diagnostics for your particular make of hd? And try running memtest to. Looks like a similar graph to mine on the run up to one of my hard drives failing in a raid pack. Last 2 or 3 weeks I'd been getting some odd behavior which manifested itself eventually into bluescreens and ultimately wouldn't boot.

well I've completely stripped my of and built it from scratch, formatted my hd and it won't let me reinstall windows. I get as far as extracting files before it blue screens but not the same blue screen. Temps are at between 30 and 34 idle according to bios. I've ran hd diagnostics, vista memory test and all comes back fine.

I'm currently trying to install windows on my other hd and will see what happens.

Seems like faulty hardware to me - whether motherboard, RAM, PSU or (unlikely) CPU. I think you'll have to replace them one by one to eliminate them.

I think I've found the problem, the hard drive. It seems to beinstalling fine on my 160gb sata.

Well, i'm back on my pc now, Vista installed fine and i've installed my Chipset, audio and catalyst drivers and rebooted. All seems fine so far :)

I just had a blue screen trying to install HL2 again :(

Why didn't i just stick to my 939 setup, had no probs at all with that.

As mentioned, post up a minidump (or a few) of your crashes as it will give a good indication of what the problem is.

c:\Windows\Minidump

I kept having blue screens on my P5Q-E, it took a modded bios to fix it, since then (4+ months), not a single blue screen.
