Mine is a bit iffy to be honest. It seems to be lasting a day and a half. But at times it shoots down really fast, and other times it is really good.

I have uninstalled S2U2 to see if that makes a difference.

I am considering doing a hard reset and starting over just installing the things I have decided I want, as I naturally have done a lot of messing around with things so far. I am not sure I can be bothered though.

In your task manager with nothing running what % of program memory is usually being used?
 
In my task manager with only Gyro and activesync on I start of with about 45% and end up at about 55% after a day on.
 
On the battery, it has been good the last few days.

I charged it on Sunday night and it is currently on 45% after a bit of internet browsing, some calls, fair few texts and emails.

It wasn't charging overnight so that means it has been unplugged for about 1 1/2 days and it only just has under half battery :)

My program memory is random. It usually sits between 37-45%. Right now it is on 48%, but sometimes it is as low as 28-30% (usually after just turning it on)
 
My phone is just about to die after about two days, which includes a GPS trip round london and multiple games of bubbleblaster and Tweeter as well as web browsing.

Not too bad I think.

Yeah mine got down to about 15% this morning so have it on charge now. Not a huge amount of usage but a decent amount, and I got over 2 days out of it.

Hmmm, I charged it yesterday morning and it almost died last night after just a few games and other bits. The difference I think is wifi, I had it on yesterday and not before, so unless you need it leave it off it seems.
 
Guys I just got my Touch HD, and so far really liking the phone and the way it works. Having read through this thread and done some research on the XDA Developers forumI wanted to see what ROMS people are using on theirs? So far I am happy with how everything works and have noticed some people have had problems with getting Iplayer working on the modded ROMS, so I dont want to dive in head first and end up with a ROM that loses certain fucntions.

Also I am assuming I need a modded ROM to use all the mentioned apps that people have installed or am I wrong.

I'm in 2 minds about it, should I or shouldn't I get it. mobiles.co.uk have got the o2 £25/month down to £79.99 for handset(was £96.89), I don't use lots of mins or texts so think the 200/200 should be enough(if not can always up it to the £30/month). also I'll be prob use the wifi more so then the 3g/hdspa, if I find I need the bolt on can always add it(would save the hassle of arguing with o2 cs to change the bolt on with the £35/month one).

the other option I'm thinking of is getting it from cpw on o2 payg for ~£450(if 1of the 3 local to me have stock), use up the £10 creadit and get the £20/month simplicity sim.
 
Been getting on with mine fine for the past couple of weeks.

The battery gets better with time, for the first week let it drop charge to a low level before recharging.

Its great now the modding community is getting into gear :D

Tried loads of stuff and also done a few hard resets after loading up uninstalling various progs...

Gonna give it a few months before trying a ROM.

phoned orange for the pac code as I'm thinking of moving to O2 home broadband, so moving my mobile as well(to get the ~£5/month reduction the broadband). after asking for the pac code(they offered their broadband for £8/month(as I don't have orange at my exchange so can't get it free) on their home start(only 10gb usage), the home max(40gb) for £23/month) I asked to see what offer they could do on the touch hd(wasn't expecting much as the experiance back in october asking for the omnia wasn't fruitful(wouldn't go under £110 on £30/month contract), £25/month(500mins(quite a bit more then my needs), 100texts(not a big texter) & unlim land line(most of my calls are to land line)), handset for £175(with £130 credit to my following months bill, so £45 for the handset) + £5/month for 'unlim' web(500mb, used to be 250mb. apperently increased from boxing day). I'm going to see if I can get a couple quid more off a month and/or the handset down to £150(not hopefull on that).

I'm tempted to go ahead and get the touch hd from orange, but tryin to decide due to the O2 brodband. also thinking of waiting till the N97 comes out next year(1st half of 2009 according to what mobile).

Depends on the apps I guess. I have had no problem installing any programs so far. The only program I have had problems with is PocketDivX which just doesnt want to be removed. Have read up on this and apparently the only way to completely remove the software is to do a full reset :S
 
got mine today really liking it, is there any way to set your own ringtones and message tones like mp3's , or do you just have to use the ones that come with it????? or am i just stupid?? also how the hell do you install new themes, i have downloaded some but i cant fugure out how install them. sorry for being dumb.
 
Couple of questions on these please..

1. Video Playback - do you need to convert video to a certain format to play on this ? Can it play the DRM downloaded mobile content from BBC iplayer ?

2. Will the handset work on Vodafone or can it be unlocked easily ? Where's the best place / network / tarriff for around £35 a month ?

Ordered one on 02 1200, £45 a month with free phone. 18mths contract with 1200 mins, unlimited texts and 11 months half price :D

You need to put them into My Documents/My Ringtones.

Took me a while to work that one out too :p

I've upgraded from a N95 to the HTC Touch HD. I was toying with the iPhone, but the lack of SMS Forward and no MMS support put me off.
So far, the Touch HD seems very good.

well I took up the Racoon 30 £25/month(500mins, 100texts, unlimited land line, magic number. most of my calls are to land line and magic number/s so the 500mins is lot more than I need.), £175.5 for the phone(£130 credit in 1st bill, so £45.50 in effect + I don't need to pay anymore for the 1st 4months) + £5/month for 500mb anytime web(only available at same time as 'new' contract, otherwise £7.50/month for 250mb). I asked if they could take any more off either the handset or the montly bill, guy told me that the lady who offered me this took it down as far as she could and they can't go any lower on the £25/month plan.

as I got it directly from orange, I'll be able to go down to Racoon 25 £20/month(300mins, 100txts, unlim land line) in 6months due to their best plan rather than the usual 9months.

I should get it on monday(would have liked it to play over the weekend, I start a new job from monday), what programs should I download for it(prefer free)?
 
Tried to install the glass clock last night with the home customizer and not sure which one did it but completely crashed my phone :( had to do a hard reset and lost my contacts oops!
Will try again though :D
