B-grade is kinda exactly what it is. It's stock they've had returned/opened and want to shift. They sell it at reduced price on first come first serve basis. They dont have an endless supply of cut price monitors for you waiting there, gleaming away.

You werent quick enough sadly - the site cant do miracles and update instantly, there's a little lag. It sucks you wont be getting the monitor, but thats life I guess.

No point in hating OcUK for it.
 
I had to complain just to get an apology for the week of time that's pretty much been wasted in terms of looking for a monitor.

They shouldn't have allowed my order to go through for three days, take money out of my account and have me getting excited over something if they never even checked if they had the stock for it.

That really does put you off shopping in a place.

sucks because even if i return mine under dsr i have to pay an extra £40 as it wont be on offer anymore, so im probably looking at £60 - £70 because of 1 dead pixel.
 
other option is because it was so cheap to start with you put it on a certain auction site, then get another but even so the new one may have dead pixels again

for the past erm 10 years ive been using an old beige zenith one but i spilt a glass of coke on that before christmas which it didnt like :(

I've managed to find your order and had a look exactly what happened. The order was placed on the 26/12 (while we were closed for Boxing Day) but two people had managed to place orders before you at around a similar time to yourself.

Normally we would contact you if your item was out of stock and no longer available but due to it being Christmas, there was simply nobody here. Your refund was done as soon as it was requested but it is actually the bank who take 3 days for it to be refunded into your account rather than ourselves.

If you do want to place another order then let me know and I will arrange for some goodies to be sent out as a goodwill gesture.

It's basically just a bad time of the year, and you were unlucky unfortunatly.

hello all. Long time reader of these forums, first time poster. I too have ordered a g24. Should be here in a couple of days. I have my fingers crossed that there will be no dead pixels:eek:. I live in ireland so returning it is a costly exercise. As soon as it arrives ill let you guys know what i think.

Thank you. I don't blame anyone personally. And I was a bit annoyed to say the least. But thank you for explaining.

I'll consider it. I may try to order the normal Acer G24 on Friday. Depends how things go.

I'm not here to get into an argument. But, please understand that I was annoyed at the time. I was basically just looking for a place to vent. I apologize for using these forums to do that.

As you've had problems I am happy for you to order one at the TWO price. Call the sales team and tell them that Adam in Purchasing is happy to arrange a discount. If they tell you they can't do the TWO price then tell them to call me while you're on the line and I will sort things out and arrange for some goodies to be sent with the order too.

Thanks a lot for this. It's very unusual to get that kind of service and for that I thank you.

I'll get onto it tomorrow. As it's a bit late as of now.

I must admit. I'm quite impressed and rather regret acting that way I did.

While I don't feel I deserve it, I really appreciate what you're doing.
 
iv'e had one or 2 bad experiences in the past, but there aint any other places that offer the kind of service you get here, hence why I continue to come back.

After playing around with the G24 software, I now realise just how awesome this monitor looks when its configured properly. The colors are absolutely superb! Only drawbacks I can name, is some backlight bleed (only noticable on blacks) and the gradient effect on solid colors (brighter at the bottom of the screen, darker at the top)
Appart from that. I can't fault the G24. Much better than any monitor ive ever had before.
