Windows 7 beta - 9th January

Just taken to the Windows 7 page like everyone else. :(

I haven't been able to get past Continue on the confirmation page from the email and now I just get a 404.

But Windows 7 is installed now. Found all my drivers apart from my Wireless adapter, but it's only a cheap brand, so I wasn't surprised.

Going to go and explore now. :)
 
Has anyone installed the nvidia beta driver through windows update ?

Is the nvidia control panel available with it ?

Still can't get a bloody key.

Impressed with W's 7 so far ..

The nvidia beta driver through windows update is ok and yes it comes with control panel:)
 
Also, does anyone know where to get the blue wallpaper from thats been used in some of the Microsoft demos and is also used during the installation? Doesn't seem to be grouped with the other wallpapers.

you need to assighn a drive letter to it, notice there isnt one in the picture next to it, just right click for the options.

You mean you cannot see it in My Computer? You need to assign a drive letter, thats why.
 
Does Windows 7 chew up the HDD all the time like Vista?
Anyone think we're going to see a final release in 2009?

your vista partition has no drive letter ;)
 
I was downloading the 32bit version from the direct link posted earlier (7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULFRE_EN_DVD.iso)

The download was showing 36% of 2.44Gb downloaded and then suddenly it completed and has left me with a 900Mb ISO? AARRGGHHHH!!!
 
I did an upgrade using 64bit Windows 7 and although it took a fair while the only issue I had was a problem with my DVD drive after install which was a registry issue and now solved. So far so good. I don't seem to have lost any of my personal files in the upgrade.
 
You'll probably have to wait till tomorrow now. I persevered and got one before they took everything down :)
 
it didn't recognise my asus p5q pro mobo :eek:

i had to install lan drivers and something called sm bus drivers from asus site
