I think that those landscape pictures need some sort of focal point. And a crop that would get rid of the branches from the top right - very distracting.

Yeah I agree. That is the thing I find the hardest about landscape photography. You either need an amazing sky or some sort of focal point, both is a bonus :)

Sometimes it works without a focal point but I personally don't see it that often.

Anyway, here are some random shots from last year/2007 which I am not sure I posted in here before.

I was at my job last night and was asked to do some arty shots with frames , lighting wasn't great but i came up with a few ideas. They were pleased after i sent them :)

Yeah was just trying to get a good shot of the sky but failed, it looked good but I failed to capture it right. Was also in a rush as it had just started raining again.

KrooKedUK, you got the colours just about right but the clouds were very dark in areas. I think its the way I've taken the picture:).

did a pano of the sunset today and this is one of the results, original was 140mb from 3 images :p

shot in manual and been a dosy sod today i forgot to change the iso from 800 so its noise :(

Did you use a tripod to take those photos? They looks extremely clear and precise, what kidn of settings will you have tweaked to get it do clear?

not the best of shots as they were done through double glazing and a bigma :p handholding a bigma at 500mm is a biatch

Classic mirror shot.

Ilford XP2 Super, taken with a Pentax ME-F film slr. tokina 28mm f2.8 lens.

Had to crop it down loads as it had a friend I didn't want to put up on here without asking.
