Grand Theft Auto 4

Managed to get a couple of hours in last night on multiplayer, awesome stuff! :)

Helicopters are absolutely impossible to control with keyboard an mouse though...on the other hand headshots are so easy.

Driving a car in multiplayer is also suicide if the other person is on foot I discovered after several unsuccessful attempts to ram people.

Very good fun mind! :) Can't do normal deathmatch, there's always some super-accurate person running about headshotting everyone, team deathmatch however is absolute win, can see myself playing this a lot! :D

I'd back it up just for peace of mind I guess, or atleast create a restore point.

I presume you have the cd version?

Hopefully the game will install all other thing's you need, such as flash player, games for windows etc....and then update them.

Yep, get the latest drivers installed. I would also recommend SP3 just for compatibilities sake. After youve installed the game i would also install the latest GFW Live client, then install the latest patch. Links -

Delvis I bought a legit copy, I assumed it was DVD?!
Does the single patch cover me or do I need to update sequentially with patch one then patch two? Thanks

Heh, wasn't insinuating that buddy :)

You can buy it off Steam as well, hence no dvd :)

Not sure, try starting the game up, and going into Games for windows live (using the home key i think) it might ask you to patch that way...

Fair do's then :) Sounded like you had it on PC, but no worries.

Well somethings wrong with there rig there end really...Granted patches break things sometimes, but for them to break some rigs and then not some as well, something is definitely wrong somewhere.

It's probably due to the fact they are applying patches half way through a game...Which, to be fair, is not a good idea on any PC game.
 
lolz just read some of those forums, seems they have been removing things like hot dog stands and stuff which explaining the performance increase with the new patch

Im off to try the new drivers and i read about turning off the capture option to help with my crash
