***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Gametrack will tell you. I have linked them all here though - http://www.l4d-ocuk.co.uk/.

Also if possible can people use the [OcUk] tag's please. As if a space is wanted on the server for some one from OcUK i normally just kick someone without the tags and that has been connect for the least amount of time.

:/

There are plenty of people in the OcUK group that don't have the tags, and some are even in their own clans. The group isn't meant to be a clan - it's just a group where people who enjoy the same game, and come to this forum, play together.

Does anyone else posting in this topic know about the group "Armed B*st***s" ? Fronted mainly by Earl_G. He asked me a while ago if any overclockers would be interested in having an inter-group "friendly" game. I know we aren't a clan, but it would just be a laugh and not serious or anything. Might be worth trying to sort one out :). Let me know if you are interested. If we get four people then I'll have a chat with Earl through steam...

I have clan tags, I'd rather not. But I do like playing on the OcUK servers. I have been hassled in lobbies by people "Are you on the forums? ARE YOU ON THE FORUMS?!"

Oh well.

On the fragM branded servers I would actively say that people SHOULD NOT feel in any way pressured to have an ocuk tag. And as those three are my servers, those are the rules on there :)

Hopefully me and Seaniboy can reach some sort of agreement on this.

I agree, don't feel pressured into adding [OcUK] tags. People just add them so that its easier to tell who is from the forum or not and should not exclude you from any games.

I've never seen anyone pressure ppl to add tags btw.

I have my tag on there just so that people know that I'm from overclockers, though people are probably starting to recognise "Link to Insanity" now as I play so often and have been since the demo. It also feels good when there's others with the tag, gives a nice warm community feeling ;). However, the only thing about not having a tag is that if nobody knows you on that server they may kick you to make space for someone that they know. Though if you have lots of people as your friends anyway, you shouldn't really have anything to worry about, not having a tag!

To be honest I'd only have a tag when you first start playing, once people get to know you it doesn't matter at all whether you have it or not.

That's just my opinion, basicly it's up to you (this post would have been much shorter if I'd just said that anyway, lol) :)

I've had a fair few non OCUK friends playing on the servers, and thankfully the rest of the lads haven't been hostile to them or anything. I guess it's luck.

There was a bit of an argument about this sort of thing a while back when the group servers were first made available. Given that we've just had another influx of new players I'm not too surprised that we've had it again. We just need to stress to everyone that the [OcUK] tag isn't a requirement...

That's extremely lame.

I pay for the OcUK servers, and I don't have tags. I might make a new rule - anyone *with* tags get's kicked!

:p

I keep trying to hook up with you guys but the time difference puts you guys in bed when i come on to start playing .

Everynow and then i will see some of you online on the weekends .

While were on the subject of people being booted for stupid reasons let me throw into the mix my lack of enthusiasm for people being booted simply because they got in before someone else who was invited.

Ive seen this happen a few times where often the last person to join will get in just before someone else who was on their way.

Ive seen this then start with last person in you need so leave because so and so was coming in.

As far as i see it when were all startina game we all pretty much spam the invites like crazy, if someone gets in quicker thats fairplay and they deserve that spot and not to be asked to leave because someones mate was comin in.

I include myself in this ofcourse as just today i got an invite and didnt make it to the lobby in time and had to wait 30mins or so before a space came up, i wouldnt ask for someone to be asked to leave just because i didnt get in in time and i find that hwole suggestion quite sad.

End of rant :)

BTW kick rob to let me in at any time :)
