Enough budget left to put some blue lights back on it. Will be useful in our recession induced post apocalyptic landscape :)

£995 on PH. Facelift of the one i'm driving at the moment. Nothing exciting but sips petrol nicely (compared to the jeep anyway!), got a little bit of boot if you fancy and is for the most part, bulletproof! fun :) I only paid £500 for mine too so even more of a bargain.

So, with the recession & the car market on its knees, there are some amazing bargains out there, but could you find a car which you would actually want to drive for the price of a TV set - a round £1000 :p Bring out your credit crunch bargains!

!

My Mini 1 grand bang on.

Nearing 200bhp/tonne, iconic and a total chav basher

Beat it.

But then again the guy we got it from his wife said it was either the car or her so he had to get rid.

That Mondeo is the best 600 quid car I have ever seen and looks nothing like a 600 quid car. Lack of MOT is concerning especially as you could double its value with 12 months MOT..

To be fair, Ive seen loads of cheap ST24's , no doubt that one does look in tip top shape. They are simply seen as an old Mondeo now.

You do have be wary of them tho, the HG's are prone to failure, without the usual mayo under the cap or overheating symptoms.

This thread really proves that you dont have to spend many thousands on a car to get a really nice car.
