***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

My session timed out and it would appear Left 4 Dead updated during it :( lol!

Ah well it was only me and my mate on Server 5 we got through expert with the 2 Bots to the finale then at the first tank I my session timed out :(

The first time you hit more than one person with one swing, you realise that he has become a real threat again. Plus he doesn't get stuck in vents anymore, and he can't be parked.
 
Great game boys. Love the patch, VS had become a bit stale imo, even though no new content has been added I'm pretty excited about it again.
 
yep first experience of an ocuk vs after the patch and although we got owned it was superb.

I truly love the winning team goin first, its geared towards giving the losing team an edge by seeing where the tank and tier2's etc are gonna spawn.

Only prob i see with it is on a finale, winnin team goes first and if they win the map i can see a lot of losin teams not even bothering to finish their finale.

The tank changes are great, actually chased a few guys through the vent on nm2 and caught them lol
 
I managed to get mine working in the end last night, I had to verify the game files, then got onto a server. Rubbish randoms game, but managed to vent tank some noob on nm2 (having taken out his entire team already :)) He thought he was safe running and hiding in the vents MWHAHAHAHA :D

Anyway, will be on 2nite :) See you then guys...
 
Doesn't look like I'll be able to play until a week on Sunday :( Was enjoyin the new patch too since last night!!

Going skiiing, so I suppose it makes up for lack of zombie killing :D

That would be excellent. It's pretty dull sometimes waiting all that time. Since the infected's life expectancy is extremely short, you don't get that much playing time.

You should be watching the survivors whilst waitng to spawn. Is a good time to see which way they are going and spot which team member is the weakest link.

Yeah true that, I think being dead sucks and controlling a zombie would be fun, but if you are in a serious game that ~20 sec respawn really can help organise the next attack!
 
Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before. I have Googled this and couldn't find a definite answer and then I saw this massive topic!

My son has Left4Dead installed on our Steam account and has played it through to the end on his PC. He wants me to install it on my PC so we can play Co-Op together on our 2 PC LAN in the same room.

We have one Steam Account with all the Half-Life 2 games and Episodes installed and registered on it.

What's the best way to go about this?
Do I need to buy a second copy of Left4Dead for the second PC?
Do I install it with the original steam account on my 2nd PC, log into Steam on both PC's and play in off-line mode?
Or do I create a new Steam Account for the 2nd PC and install our existing copy of Left4Dead?
