Resident Evil 5 - The Source of All Evil (360 & PS3)

I'm really enjoying the game so far but I don't seem to be cowering like I was with Resident Evil 1-4. I'm only on chapter 2-2 at the moment thought so I've still got a long way to go but it seems a much easier game than past RE's.

I loved all the puzzle solving in the first one, mini games etc.

I hope they make another Dino Crisis for the 360/PS3 because that was scarier than RE to be fair.

I'm still loving RE5 though, just not for the reasons I loved the past games.
 
This game is awesome for coop with the gf, although she's got all the best weapons now :(

Is there no way to trade weapons like you can with ammo and health?
 
Well I think im near the end of the game now. Bit annoying that you can't buy ammo (I know you can upgrade your capactiy, but when you are fully upgraded on capacity its a bit annoying).

Its a good game in its own merits but it's definitely not a resident evil game for me. Silent Hill was much scarier than this. Haven't been frightened once. Don't think the "stage" system works for it either, I like it, but it doesn't add to any tension.

In my opinion it's better but it's in a differant league, I'm not scared at all when playing this but it's really good fun. I can't really compare 4 to 5 but they're both fantastic.
 
Decided to buy it from a shop since it hadnt arrived, been playing co-op non stop with a mate and my thoughts so far are -

Brilliant cinematics
Co-op is good fun
Graphics are brilliant
Same satisfying RE4 action
Chris not having Leon's "im ard" attitude

Not a "real" resi game
No puzzles what so ever
Wierd characters (im sure there trying to copy MGS in some ways)
Have to "invite" friend into co-op, rather than both teaming up from the very start

Its great fun, but its sadly pretty much ripped away the old school Resi goodness and gone for a more Gears of War action adventure.

hear hear! definately, id love to see another dino crisis, absolutely loved both of them when they were on ps1. i remember one part where you had to chase this damn annoying compy to retrieve the key card it stole off you. memories :D i loved the anti tank rifle too, that thing owned.
 
Currently going through this on live with a mate and loving it. Fantastic visuals, varied gameplay and most of all its fun!

IMO this isn't even close to Res4. It's good but not that good...

Res 4 wasn't particularly scarey either but it had a much better setting, better puzzles and a decent variation of characters.

This falls way short on all of the above :(
 
29.99 on the high street, mispriced brochure and a price match muhaha
Really enjoying it, blatantly not resident evil tho.

Anyone else having trouble managing with so little inventory space?
