Don't want this to come off the wrong way but it never ceases to amaze me how many people talk about being on their 3rd, 4th, 7th+ Xbox and don't seem that put off by them?
At what point do you just call it a day and buy something else or give up entirely? Is the warranty procedure that smooth that people don't mind having to dick about unplugging everything, packaging it up, sending it off, etc. Having zero confidence in a product and having to go through that procedure over and over would just drive me insane.

I dont know why people still seem to think it's because of miss-use when they fail. We all know there is a massive lack of quality in build and design with the xbox 360.
On the other hand I've dealt with launch-day consoles that were mired with dust and clearly very poorly ventilated, and yet were still working perfectly (opened them up to, um, 'tweak' the DVD drive)
The thing is though a launch day console will be stuffed with dust, especially if it's well ventilated. I would love to be able to break my case every 3 months or so and give it a clean as I would my pc.
My kast turnaround took a little over a week Hilly. They just send out a refurb in a new case.
