Hmm. If this news is good I think it might just sway me to buy a PS3.

That's not the sort of thing that is a global announcement, typically they don't even bother saying stuff like that and the geeks find out themselves. It'll be bigger than a new chip manufacturing process.

Its a bit of a coincidence to say the least that they've got an announcement the day before the price cut was rumoured.

What else can it be, I doubt its going to be a game or feature, what have they got hiding away, they put every thing they are working on at E3.

Maybe GT5 to be released this year

It's quite obviously going to be Sony are going stop selling them as game consoles and are going to market them as paper weights. Reason being that's what most people use them for anyway.
