*Spoilers* UEFA Champions League QF L2- 14/15 April *Spoilers*

I was at the first leg and sat with the chelsea fans, it was a horrible experience; sat with thugs who constantly sang hillsborough chants; i guess its the hardcore element that goes to away games and they are as thick as two planks, but most fans are decent.

This is obviously doesn't apply to all Chelsea fans but if you speak to a lot of Liverpool fans that have gone to the Bridge in recent years and they'll tell you that Chelsea have become far and away the worst set of fans when it comes to Hillsborough chants.

A while back Tony Barratt (and a few other Journos) were on a show discussing Liverpool possibly drawing Utd and it possibly falling on the 15th and he said that he was more concerned with drawing Chelsea and that last seasons Semi 2nd leg was the only time that he's ever seen fans sing Hillsborough songs on mass.

The biggest shock of all is how Hiddink has got Malouda playing well - he looks so good right now (albeit over enhanced by his poor form for so long)...
The amount of assists he has had of late is impressive; plus his pass for Drogba was sensational

The funny thing is, Barca will destroy chelsea, but if we'd gone through, we would've had big chance of beating barca

I have never understood thoughts like these. You've had to have beaten the opponents you've just had before you got to the ones next, but there's just no way at this stage of being able to pull things out of thin air like that.

As an Arsenal fan up who goes to matches up here as opposed to in London, I've always been told by gooners down south that Chelsea's fans are the worst. This is including Spurs even with our rivalry..

said on sky sports news that the chelsea liverpool game was arguably the greatest game ever, sorry, but what a load of bull.

i mean it was a great game and loads of goals, but no greatest game ever lol

It was a great game - and the winners deserved it marginally even after making it hard on themselves

Liverpool where a yard or two faster than Chelsea all around the pitch for most of the game (and Chelsea's passing was dreadful in the first half, and even sometimes in the 2nd)

Still think the Carra "budge" deserved a penalty in the 1st half - and the ref was giving a lot of the major decisions Liverpool's way in the 1st 45 too

Reina did manage a couple of decent saves - but that first Chelsea goal (even with the slightest flick last second from Drogba) was unforgivable.

The luck was with Chelsea in the end (with that last goal going in off both posts)

Cech doesnt look the same keeper from a few seasons ago - that first goal from Aerellio's free kick , he was just no where near it

Even with Terry back (am I right Carvhalio and Cole miss the semi first leg) while Chelsea may well score, if Barca are on form they will score a hatful

How the **** Masch didnt get booked in the 1st half I will never know, he must have caused about 10 fouls (not that it matters of course now)

Why wasnt that 3rd or 4th Liverpool goal an Essian own goal (it would be hard on the guy as he played very well indeed -incl a header off the line, but it was a huge deflection from his arm that Cech probably had it covered otherwise)

What a game, as Cech said not one of the goal keepers.

Cole is suspended but i dont think Carvalho is. Liverpools 3rd goal was given to Lucus as the original shot was on target.

and Cech actually had that shot covered....

Carvalho was definitely booked - and Im sure commentary last night said he would miss the next match also

Am I the only one who thinks Mascherano is a dirty little turd of a player? Typical Argie!

This isn't based on last night really but I have always thought since seeing him more regularly in English football that he is an evil little git!

He was booked but I don't think he was on the limit of yellow cards though.
Wasn't shown on the graphics here displayed on the TV screen (I am not sure if the Czech channel here in Prague would use the same base stream as SKY/ITV or wherever you watched it).

Cole will miss the next game, not Carvalho.

I studied the game in detail and must say Anelka was deadly on the right wing. He played really well with great runs and superb assists. He turned up in defence and worked hard there too :eek: :)

Another great move by Guuuuuus.

Barca are favourites no doubt. However, Chelsea should out-muscle them and have Guus. Messi is hard to contain however if Essien can cut off his providers like he did with Gerrard, then we have a fighting chance.

I have no idea how liverpool, and more specifcally that little turd get away with it week after week, Lucas aswell. Last night Macherano did around 4 of the clinical stopping a break fouls, from pulling back, a trip to a lunge from behind and not one got a yellow while almost any other player in the world would get a yellow for one if not all of them.

Frankly Macherano did enough separate fouls in the first half alone to be sent off, Lucas did a whole bunch of fouls and tackles from behind, Benny's fouls weren't really bad, but constant little shoves from behind, running across peoples legs and such. I actually burst out laughing that Benny got a yellow for persistant fouling on maybe his 4/5th foul with a couple incredibly soft, while Macherano by that point was about 10 fouls in with half cynical certain yellow card types.

I really don't think Liverpool were as good as people are pretending from the score line. First half Ballack, Malouda a apparently injured(or just pathetic?) Kalou, Drogba, Essien didn't even turn up, and Liverpool still only scored 2, both not from open play and both pretty lucky. Arbeloa's freekick seemed a misskick to me, if Cech hadn't moved to his right AFTER the ball was kicked it was an easy save that most people would have laughed at the attempt. The penalty was soft as again thats something Carragher does every single game for the past 5 years and hasn't been punished once from recollection.

Personally I'm all for that being deemed a foul, but until everyone is punished fairly for it, taking one instance in 5 years across hundreds of games its a poor decision.

Chelsea actually turned up in the second half and frankly dominated the whole half, scored, restored the cushion and then took their foot off slightly. It was still another incredibly flukey goal that put Liverpool back in it, and some terrible defending for Kuyt's, had Cech gone to it, or Carvalho taken a single step forwards rather than wait for it to reach him.

Other than the goals Liverpool had very very few chances even against a non performing Chelsea in the first half.

really a game of 2 teams who were both poor and one who barely tried, one where most attempts were goals which is very very rare. Great to watch though, can't deny that, fantastic atmosphere created by the uncertainty of the game.

Ballack was truly horrible in the whole game though, and Essien was constantly giving it away and only a fantastic clearance off the line made him worthwhile being on the pitch.

So you'd prefer if instead of Barcelona v Chelsea and Liverpool v Chelsea we had the likes of Manu v the champions of Romania and Inter v the champions of Kazakhstan?

Ah, very good...I see what you did there. Instead of saying something like Man U v Champions of Italy or Inter v the Champions of Spain. You specifically picked more obscure lesser nations in order to highlight your point. Very good, forum warrior, your interweb skillz are l33t.

But to the point at hand, yes...frankly I would prefer that. In my opinion, if you are going to have the gall to name something The Champions League, then it should consist of champions, not people who came 2nd/3rd/4th/whatever.

I have no qualms about keeping it in its current format, providing they change the name back to the European Cup. I just find it somewhat silly that someone can be in the champions league when they arent champions, didnt even finish as runner up to the champions.....didnt even finish as runner up to the runner up of the champions. Kinda makes the name somewhat farcical.

Like I say though, thats just me and I do tend to be overly pedantic.

Its called been world class, yeh he fouls but he does it on the sly and gets away with it.

Also, the freekick, you really think it was a mis-kick? to me it seemed like a class bit of initiative.

The freekick certainly wasnt a miskick, just before Aurelio (not Arbeloa) took the shot I actually said to my missus "he should aim to the right of cech because he has left a huge hole there". If I can see that and know to aim for it, I am pretty certain a professional footballer could.
