I am well aware why the store do it, but i am not sure i buy the whole "keep alcohol away from kids" theory. I think it's more to do of covering the store's back side more than teenage drinking.
If i am in a gang of youth, and knowing that the person buying it will get ID, then you just send in the person in the group old enough and stock up. Everyone wait in the car park, it is as simple as that.
It makes no sense, either have a blanket ban or no some **** pot policy that changes every year, Challenge 21 Challenge 25, what next Challenge 29 ?
Its about time I got my old craggy paper driving licence sorted out for a nice shiney photocard one with my mug on it along with the relevant details.
Thing is as somebody said earlier on in this post it does seem like this could be the paving for the national id card thing. Imagine loosing that card and not being able to get food, buy some fags or travel about. Talk about 1984 lol.
That is exactly what it is about, those that cannot see it are too stupid for words, those that don't deserve all they get.
One could argue that you are a tad paranoid.
That's all very well until you fall foul of Section 92 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, and can't get a license, provisional or otherwise. I don't routinely carry any form of ID. If I didn't have a passport, I wouldn't actually have any.
