Demigod by Gas Powered Games (SupCom)

Just realised it hasnt installed into the impulse folder but onto the c drive and i cant see any options to change, bit pants.

Click on the orb in the top left > preferences > click on 'folders' > choose 'My Games' from the drop down box > change to whatever you desire.
 
You mean preorder it as the retail release isn't until May?

Can't mention other retailers as most of them have some competitor gear so can't be mentioned due to the forum rules.

Can be had for £17.99 though.

If you want it now you have to buy it as a Digital Download from Impulse. Costs £26ish after Dollar conversion.
 
How much depth is there to this game? Is it well balanced or does everyone just go for that giant castle dude. Also how long do matches last?

I'm looking for a good multiplayer game besides counter strike, this sounds like it could be my cup of tea as it's an arcadey-strategy type.

It's pretty well balanced, the char you choose depends on the kind of gameplay you like. I've always enjoyed sly DPS'ers, so always go for the Unclean Beast. I actually hate the Rook (the giant castle dude) - he's way too slow, and it's impossible to hit and run.

Matches last a fair while.. for 2v2 I'd say ~40 minutes.

I haven't tried it yet, but I reckon some 4v4 matches could be pretty epic :p

Just played a game as the UB where I absolutely abused the Warp Stone along with +speed boots and TP scrolls.. and ended up with a 18-1 K/D ratio :p

4v4 last about the same - 40 minutes-ish.

I've been playing using Queen of Thorns a lot online. She doesn't have a terrible amount of DPS but her survivability is pretty awesome and she has some good AOE for killing creeps. I've dabbled with Unclean Beast a little and at the start I don't like him too much but once he has levelled up a bit and has some decent gear the sheer speed of him is brilliant!

I played against a team using QoT + Sedna roaming about together... an entirely unkillable combo for our setup which was Beast / TB / Erebus (and I imagine any setup bar a 3x assassin combo + artifacts focusing one of them, and even then probably borderline) I can see it being a 3v3 favourite to have setups involving the chars that add insane survivability.

I've played a few as the rock and yes it does get a bit annoying how slow he is. He is pretty decent and killing creeps and buildings though. The unclean beast is way overpowered, my rock was level 20 and so was an unclean beast and he was chewing threw me in about 5 seconds with a stun in the middle for good measure, i cant stun and run cos he just catches me. Going to try the light ranged assassin next time. Been playing Pantheon mostly, had a 5 v 5 which lasted about 3 hours lol.

That's a bug, but it doesn't matter all that much as the entire stats system will be reset once they weed out the exploiters and stop custom games from upping your Pantheon rank.
 
I hate the sniper. People are so lame with him. They just hang around until one of the demigods are at low health and then send 1 shot off from 1/2 way across the map. Getting lame kills and stealing teammates' kills.

I normally play Regulus and I rarely sit back and just snipe because that way you will just never level! When you are playing against Regulus, make sure your never at low health and near the front line. Same thing applies to any other Demigod really, as most will have enough spells to kill you if you are close enough.

Agreed. My cousin and I were playing last night against a two AI hard - Lord Erebus and Unclean beast. Erebus we had a chance against however I think the UB is bugged atm - I don't know. the AI had made it to our citadel so we were both defending there - next to our crystal. We had sent LE packing and the UB came in. Our entire army (maxed to giants) and both of us (both lvl 20 - i was the Oak and my cousin the Torchbearer) were wailing on the UB and we actually could not get his energy down. wtf? This must be a bug surely. Anyone else find this?
