What you need to do now is contact your local bird of prey centre, and arrange to borrow something suitably large and scary..... golden eagle, eagle owl etc.... and just knock on their door and introduce them to your new friend, who'll have his own aviary in the back garden :D

Oh totally. We live in cul-de-sac of four houses and have gotten on well with one couple since the mid eighties. Never an issue about tending to their cats and fish.
 
Nice to see good old fashioned polite english neighbourly behaviour.

They do have a point.

I live on the outskirts of Birmingham and am woken early every morning by SEA GULLS!!, Magpies (terribly noisy things), and 6 wood pigeons cooing. I am kind of used to it but short of wholesale slaughter not much I can do about it.
 
You have an awesome neighbour, treat them good! Possibly a little something for the inconvienience and to say thank you/sorry would go down well!
 
They seem like nice neighbours. One of our neighbours is very nice and we are friends with him. Always talking and in for drink and all at xmas.

The neighbours on the other side we dont speak to. Had a big row after there son broke or window and they point blank refused to believe it was him even though we had an eye witness. So to be honnest if there house was on fire I would watch it burn

My neighbor feeds foxes and to be hones I dont mind that at all, even though the foxes can be quite loud during nights, I am a hard sleeper.

My neighbor gave me a card to congratulate on new job, I'd never expect anything like that from a neighbor, also she takes my bins back to the garden after rubbish collection on Friday. I am so happy that I have good neighbors now, everyone seems to be nice and polite, I can't say the same about my past accommodations.
 
So the people next door, trespassed on Your land and removed Your property.... and then left you a nice polite letter to say sorry???

our eldery neighbour he does that, wheels down our wheelie bin to the bottom of the drive. Its quite a long gravel one and i know from my experience it can be quite awkward.
If one of us is away we often go in to look after the house, feed a cat etc.
