****SWINE FLU UPDATE!****

lol:D.

Seriously though, what's the chance of dieing from this if properly treated ?

Apparently less than with some other strains of flu that crop up all the time.

There is cause for concern - a new strain of flu could quickly mutate into something that poses a serious threat to society - but right now it doesn't really seem more of a problem than other existing strains of flu.

That's a first, Don't really see how they would find it offensive considering it's a +1 for them since it's a virus which comes from pigs, giving meat such as pork a bad rep, which is basically what they're against.. IMO it's hyped up stupidity by the press.

I thought it bizarre that he was offended by a disease being given the name of a ritually unclean animal - surely a disease is considered unclean anyway? To me, it looks like flu makes a person ritually unclean as described in Leviticus 15 because they will sweat.

She's actually really clever, and has a degree in astrophysics and is doing absurdly well on the training course we're both on.

She does have her less than smart moments though...

I work with a room full of women with degrees and Masters and they all have their moments.
Everybody does.

A girl at work asked me if it was ok to eat a pack of pork scratchings she had bought about 3 months ago because it might contain swine flu :/

The media are having a field day.

Hundreds of thousands of people die every year in the UK from influenza. Mostly the elderly who are vulnerable. At the moment infected people are making a swift recovery so is there anything to worry about? Of course people died in Mexico, in poverty stricken areas with little medical treatment available and a poor standard of living. It wouldn't make a difference if it were swine flu or your average bug.

This is the biggest farce I have ever seen. More people die from normal flu etc etc.

Go back to banging on about the crap economy and terrorists please.
