**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Ribery is good, but not worth £60m. Only Messi can be worth that much, and even then, no footballer is really worth over about £20/30m in my opinion :/

He's gone off the rails with the typical "look at my shiny 26 inch wheels, im a gangsta" thing - i think a good old scottish hairdryer would straighten him out. He is very quick, can tackle and is athletic - i think he'd be a fantastic signing.

Wouldnt like to see Macheda out on loan though - think we need to keep dropping him in the deep end as he seems to respond well. Would like to see Possebon, Wellbeck and Cathcart get some good experience the next year however, as especially the first 2 will be more prominent to replace giggs and scholes.

I'd beg to differ - Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Ronaldo, Rooney, Aguero are all around that mark - even the over-rated Ibrahimovic is worth £50mill at the moment.

As a fan of football id love to get Aguero at United, he is so under-rated in this country yet if you watch him he plays just like Messi - a low centre of mavity, quick feet and a turn of pace, like a young Romario.

Aguero is immense at times but I think he would struggle in the Premier, he's similar to Tevez but Tevez is like a bull, Aguero would get knocked about too much I reckon.

Would love him over here though, I base this on the fact I've had him at MU on FM09 and he refuses to leave as he loves the club :D

:) I dont know, Ronaldo was skinny when he first came over and he didnt do too badly did he? He's a similar build to Messi and he makes premier league teams look foolish every time they play.

Ronaldo has the frame though, people forget he's 6" +

I think its pretty safe to suggest that Utd have lost all hope of keeping Tevez (between SAF only giving him sub appearances for the most part, and what he has said to the press its not going to go any other way)

If he had continued his form from last season then Im sure he would have got signed up already - but his current form is just not worth £25m or anywhere near it

Macheda, Welbeck , Possebon, Gibson should be kept inhouse for next season, even if its just for CC duties and EPL sub appearances, Im just crossing everything for Hargreaves to recover completely as he will be a huge addition to this year's squad.

sorry but I cant see Nani ever amounting to anything and should be sold (how long was his original deal - 3 years or more? Even with the young serbian I think Utd could do with another natural wide player so Valencia would be a good purchase at £15m - all the press are taking this as a given but we all know what they are like lol

Ribery is not worth that money at all, and neither is Tevez, I'm afraid. It's a shame because he's been one of my favourite players ever since he came to West Ham but he's been shocking this season. I think Nani will get another chance next season but I'm not sure whether we will be signing another winger (assuming Ronaldo stays). We already bought Tosic and the other Serbian lad Ljajic so I can't see the value in buying another young winger- you can only nurture so many. Plus, with Hargreaves back next season that's another option for the right wing in some games.

I think we'll see a striker in to replace Tevez if they don't budge on the asking price (I would pay £15 million max).

He looks to have settled on the wing in the last few games (from the highlights I've seen anyway) but he likes to cut inside a lot.

I always thought he was an AM too, but being so young, he could end up being either

edit the other thing to consider is that neither of those two will be strong /bulky enough for at least another year at minimum for the EPL- and I just cant see why SAF would suddenly give Nani more playing time after giving him virtually nowt this season (12 league app / 6 as sub, although he has played in 10 CL games which is pretty good)

tribal are reporting that Vidic's intermediaries have approached Barca about a £25m deal as his wife is unsettled in Manchester (not hard to believe)

I hope its not true - and with the two serb kids joining I think Vidic might not want to move on just yet , but who knows

I would only accept a straight swap for Messi.
