So you value Thierry Henry and Wes Brown on a similar level?

wtf is everyone going on about the fletcher crap? if you were standing where the ref was you'd have given a red. he wouldnt have played in the final - stop moaning ffs :p

If I was standing where the ref was I wouldn't have been 100% sure he DIDN't get the ball. Therefore wouldn't have given a penalty and denied an honest, hardworking model professional, the potentional to play in the biggest game of his career.

The ref was an idiot throughout the game.

medication is available for a reason.

even if these were boom times Hargreaves would be extremely lucky to fetch half that given his fitness and wes brown is worth 20million rubles at best.

lol who needs to watch comedies.

Hargreaves DID fetch that - and he made a huge contribution to a successful EPL title and a CL win, so its you who needs the medication :D

Henry is probably worth £20m - he isnt exactly injury free either (and a number of other top rate players)

how do you equate Henry with Hargreaves?

I've never seen Henry miss a whole season because of injuries either, never mind the fact he is in a whole different league to Hargreaves in terms of value.

Everyone can make the right decision when sitting in their armchair with a slow-mo replay. Seriously - some people are only happy when moaning their arse off.

gee i thought we (and everybody else who is still sane) were talking about present day values, lay off the kool aid son.

Worst decision I have seen in a long time tbh, ball goes sideways but omg Flethcer didn't touch it?

Enjoyed the analsyt rinsing Almunia though at half time, "I could have got down there quicker" whilst Lehmann tries to defend him :p

Nobody even brought Henry up though apart from you? Nobody once said how much Henry was worth.

I'm going to bang my head up against my pillow rather than this brick wall. This man needs sleep!

Onwards to Rome!

You where talking about injuries in the last season or two - why is Henry so different?
Because he's repeatedly come back and been a game winner. Consistently.

Wes Brown... puts in a decent shift, that's it.

Hargreaves, meanwhile, is class, but is also pushing that long-term level of injury that people won't want to take risks with. I wouldn't value Rosicky as anything decent now, because while he might have been good, he's also been absent for aaaaaages.

He still missed a HUGE amount of his last Arsenal season for that very reason

*** it , I dont give a ****

Arsenal were well and truly schooled tonight, as they were last week

It's a shame that it's a dodgy referees decision that makes it look like Arsenal even had a sniff. Was never a sending off although from the refs view it was a tough call, just feel so rotten for Fletcher, the guy has been brilliant lately, and was worthy of a final place

Wenger needs to swallow his pride and buy in some experience and stop kiddy fiddling, Arsenal are a superb team on their day, and no-one plays better football, but they're just too inconsistent due to the lack of experience

Anyway, I'm off to celebrate

you bought up injuries - thats why I bought up Henry , its not exactly as though he has never had repeaded injuries, obviously that doesnt count for your reasoning

Another year of losing to United in the final :(

Pretty confident we will beat barca with their back 4, seeing as Drogba actually turns up for big games.

I have my second contribution to this thread after my prediction earlier...

Que sera sera....
Whatever will be Will be...
We're going to ITALYYYYYY...
Quer sera sera...

Fletcher is one unlucky git but it might be a blessing in disguise for us. :)

Are you sure you're thinking about football? You clear the ball = no foul, no penalty, no red card!

Fletcher didn't clear the ball though, had Fabregas not been floored he would've still had possession and probably scored bar the keeper saving it.

I mean if Fletcher had touched the ball and then held Fabregas from getting to it first it would have been a foul, so why is momentum from the original tackle any different?
