what a silly thing to say, in todays world you wanna go around attracting violence with the current state of things, such as knife crime, gun crime etc. it doesnt matter where you live, theres scum everywhere.

i hope that no1 ever backs down from everything, it gives those people confidence, i dont understand how this isnt obvious to everyone on here who is full of fear and posts - 'just run away, run for your LIFE, HES GOT A MACHINE GUN, AND A NUKE, AND A FLYING PIG ARMY'
i've seen it, doesnt matter how poor an insult, its still gonna flare things up with a scumbag whos shouted something or said something to you.
i've never backed down to anyone personally (no keyboard warrior intended), but the op is shocked hes been hit, id be expecting a fight by giving some abuse back of any sort.

May the person who did this to you be cursed with a terminal disease. I cannot stand this sort of thing happening to innocents.
I was in my ride stopped at a red light once late at night - next thing I know this guy is outside trying to open my door and then BAM I was lying on the passenger seat. This a_hole had punched *through* the glass and got me. Got the green light seconds after so I just put my foot down and got the ____ outta there.
Keep those doors locked fellers....keep em locked. Mine were thank goodness.
The problem as always is the UKs COMPLETE lack of law-enforcement detterence. The bad guys are *just* not scared of the law cuz the penalties are so light in the UK. Disgusting state of affairs.
A different story if they caught the guy who hit you in Singapore....
You see scum like this being smartass to the Police...in their face even. I want these wannabe UK gangsters in their cheap hoodies to go try that in France or the US - Id love to see them staring down the barrel of a Glock while the other one knocks the heck out them of with a baton. Saw it happen in 1995 in Paris with a bunch of UK trouble-makers while sitting at an outdoor cafe. These 4 losers were going around to tables and knocking off all the glasses, plates etc onto the floor. A van turned up and 4 Gendarmes piled out. Blue uniforms, military-style boots, massive sidearms. They whacked them all with batons (oddly enough our UK hardmen began whimpering by this time!) dragged them into the van asked if were allright and drove off! Everyones first thought was "Man...we need that back in the UK!"

It's common sense...
Someone you don't know just randomly comes to you and calls you something, and then you reply, you should watch out for any retaliation... Eitherway, they're looking for trouble.
Least the OP knows what to watch out for the next time.

so why are you suggesting that other people back down
im not suggesting that at all, im saying if your not going to back down dont be shocked when you get punched. which is what the OP is!
