Totally pointless argument here but nevermind. The way I see it the best team over the course of a season will win the league, it doesn't matter if they were the most exciting team to watch, the "luckiest", the "dirtiest" or whatever "ist" you want to put in there, they've been the most efficient at doing what counts in football - winning more games and therefore amassing more points than the other teams. Man Utd won the league this year, whether they're the best of a bad bunch or whether they played like Brazil in 1970 isn't really germane to that simple point.

it is pointless, but it's a bit of fun for united fans as this season in particular we've been hearing an awful lot about our 'luck' with referees.

Indeed, it's not so much about proving Liverpool have had luck but proving that United don't get all this luck and referees decision and penalties at OT and all the other stuff other fans regularly claim.

I just find it great knowing we've won the league having been distinctly average overall, while Liverpool have had the run of the turf, their best PL season ever and yet still can't win the damn thing
