**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Well someone's got it wrong as Rafa reckons they can't compete economically with the other 3 so no way can they afford that Tevez deal unless he's planning on selling everyone and just playing Gerrard, Tevez and Torres and as he only ever talks the truth the press must have made it up.

He really is beginning to boil my **** at the moment. Whenever anyone gets a quote off him he can't help but have a pop at us or cast his eye over us in one way or another

Seriously who gives a flying fig on what we spend or don't spend on players. Why is there a need to involve us in their transfer dealings. He just can't help himself.

In a way he's indicating that we may pay £20m+ for a player, but not £30m+, but at the same time I suppose he's backing up the idea that Liverpool dont have the same budget as Man United.

No problem with that but this week on Rafa's Facht Free for all Fone in we have had

* Congratulating Utd but not Fergie as a lot of things went on and he didn't wan't to talk about it
* Liverpool better than United although they finished second, didn't go as far in Europe, got knocked out of the FA Cup and League cup earlier.
* Utd only won it because they spend more on players than Liverpool
* Liverpool may break their own transfer record but not Utd's

Well you don't have to be Basil Rathbone to work out how much he is looking to spend. The sweet irony is that 'Pool fans called Parry incompetent in the transfer market, yet this clown has just said that they would pay as little as much as X but not as much as Y Unless of course he is going to end up buying even more medicore ***** upto the value of £30 odd million. But to quote Rafa, he won't wan't to talk about that ;)

Rafa's obsession with SAF is no different to Fergies Obsession with us when he started out in the game.Rafa's job is to usurp SAF in one way or another.

if manu are going for valencia are they thinking they will not have ronaldo next season or are they thinking he will be playing more a striker role?

surely they should be lookin for a left winger so rooney doesnt have to play there any more

Would Man Utd fans be happy with Ronaldo central in a front 3?

Something like: Rooney - Ronaldo - Ribery ? Think he'd get another 40 goals if he were there

Ronaldo does do well when he's in a central position. He's pace is too good. Ribery is on his way to Real or Barca. Can not see United getting him FACT :P

Oh yea, i just love Mr Rafa... the comments he comes out with is like. Zomfg n00b HaxZor and that.....

:D:D

Happy with the attacking options we have at the moment personally. The front three of Rooney, Ronaldo +1 (Park, Tevez or Berbatov) seems to work well.

Ribery, Rooney and Ronaldo excites me greatly. But Bayern will not sell to us, especially not after the long drawn out affair with Hargreaves. It seems our recent big transfers have all been prolonged, Hargreaves, Tevez (the loan deal), Berbatov and even when Heinze was sold it dragged on a bit. I'd be surprised if we signed anyone big this summer, Benzema would be a dream but I get the impression he's the type of player who can only see Spain.
