**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Why is that?

You don't think Leeds would bite any clubs hand off who offer a half decent amount for a player:

-Out of contract in 12 months?
-Worth more than the average league one player?
-Doesn't want to play for the club anymore?

No way will they keep him. I'm pretty sure clubs in lower divisions can't afford to pay wages for players who don't want to play for the club, especially knowing they will then lose said player for free a year later.

10mill for delph, no chance
4mill for a player transfer listed, last year of deal and in league 1, healy only got sold for 1mill, 1.5-2mill tops for beckford

Consolation of Markus Babbel getting Stuttgurt into the Champions League though. One of my all time favorite players and what a great Right Back he was. Hope we get them in our group once/if they get through the qualifying stages.

Jeez he still playing? I remember i always used to sign him on Fifa 98

We were going to reject 2m for Beckford last season when Derby were after him, he's better than he was then. We wouldn't let him go for a cheap price if there is a chance he could play on and get us promoted next season.

We're not cash strapped like other clubs.

I think I was a bit optimistic with 4m, if he had a 3yr contract maybe, I think we should be looking at 2-3m though, anything less will be a a bit crap!

Goodbye Ronaldo.

I can't be doing with people like him.

We should launch a shock bid for Messi - though that won't happen.

Unfortunately for the rest of the world, I can't see any Barcelona player leaving this summer. They don't need the money and why would any of them want to leave? What is going on at Barca atm is as close to perfection as I can remember, the entire club just seems right.

Looks like Arsenal have bought 15 year old Jamie Edge from Cheltenham. RvP sounds like he'll have a new contract sorted soon aswell.

I know :p

That's why I said that it won't happen :)

Krul and Kadar (two of Newcastle's best youngsters) have said they want to stay to fight for first team places next season. Vuckic should make his first team debut next season as well according to some at the club.

Apparently Shearer has stuck a £15m price tag on Bassong as well.

i hope manu sort out a left winger so rooney can get back in a striker position

Wont happen, while Ronaldo is around we wont risk playing him on the wing and not tracking back. Its nothing to do with not having anyone else to play out there. We could easily play Park left and Ronaldo right or vica versa with Rooney up front but we wont

The situation will remain the same even if we do sign Valencia
