We sure did just see the best 2 players in the world at the moment, Messi and Iniesta. At last the Ronaldo hype can die, same with the Anderson hype around here hopefully!

Startling how good Barca were compared to Man Utd, makes me shudder to think how much better they would have been than Arsenal, quite happy Man Utd went through now :p
 
To be quite honest, Ronaldo vs Messi can not be decided through one match. I highly disagree with anyone that says messi played the best tonight, Iniesta was truly immense, as usual. Thing is, As soon as Messi comes up against english opposition, hes just your average player, barring tonight ofcourse, he's never scored against english competition, says a lot about the english league and how dominant it is above Spanish...

Altogether, oddly im not too bothered about not winning it, evidently neither are utd.

At one point Silvinho was 5 yards deeper than the rest of the back four, Berbatov went in behind, onside, desparate for the pass, tevez completely ignored a simple pass through and gave the ball away, as Tevez did all night, waste of space.

SUre Berbatov missed one headed chance he should have done better with, that doesn't mean he was poor, he put some nice throughballs in, one for Evra, his control was nice, he rarely gave it away, but he got very very little service.

Even when he finally bought Berbatov on, he then went Rooney on the right and Ronaldo on the left, what was he thinking.

Agreed.

As much as it broke my heart to see him go, he was Utd's best player for me.

So happy that Barca taught Man Utd a lesson in how to play proper entertaining football....Absolutely chuffed to bits that Messi got his well deserved goal...definitely the worlds best player right now...pfft Ronaldo lol

Thought it was an entertaining game and Barca really did out play Man Utd so am over the moon that Man Utd got put in their place for a change. Made me laugh when the ginger nut came on and tried to take out Busquet with a nasty tackle:eek:...and then Ronaldo throwing a girly fit because he couldnt do jack **** in the whole game:p.

Utd looked so lazy tonight and made Barca look very good which they aren't that great when you watch them every week.

Messi another very over rated player like so many others.

Why is Giggs still playing he is well past it
 
Tummy is dissapointed Manchester United lost, but feels football won tonight. Barcelona are an amazing team.

Enjoyed the game, Barca were the better side.
 
Full marks also to Pepe Guardiola, great achievement to win the CL in your first ever year as a manager. (though I guess its partly tempered by the team he had..nevertheless though a wonderful achievement)

Of course they deserved to be in the final:rolleyes:..talk about sore loser eh??:p. Sure as hell deserved to be there than Chelski who didnt quite get the hang of how to play Barca...even Man utd didnt get it right.

Well I actually read one of your posts for once DM, and that is a stupid comment to make. As far as I remember after the Arsenal game you were full of praise for that team that played tonight. Everyone knew that was going to be the team, nobody particularly disagreed with it in any way. Even atpbx has knocked the team selection AFTER the match but there wasn't a murmur from him prior to the game regarding the expected team.

At the end of the day the players selected didn't play well enough and Barcelona did. The team that started the game were good enough to win the game. I don't see how anyone can complain really.

When i said 12 i was clearly flattering you. I'm a chelsea fan but supported the English team, something that is clearly to difficult for you to comprehend. Please don't reply unless you want me to make a further mockery of you.

Only in the eyes of Man U fans, Messi has always been technically better than Ronaldo, the only reason anyone said Ronaldo was the best player in the world last season was because of his stats.

Now Messi is on top stat-wise and in terms of ability.

Sure he's inherited a world class side, but he's got them playing fantastic football and completed the first ever Treble in Span this year.

My hat goes off to the man.

The Premier League has shown in the last few seasons that having a great side doesn't mean you're a good manager (Chelsea and Spurs comes to mind, it was only when Gus Hiddink and Redknapp took over they starting producing).
