Have to hold your hands up and admit defeat, once they got the goal against the run, they just stopped us playing, and it turns out it was us without a plan B.

Too many players had average performances against a very good team.

The Premier League has shown in the last few seasons that having a great side doesn't mean you're a good manager (Chelsea and Spurs comes to mind, it was only when Gus Hiddink and Redknapp took over they starting producing).

Martin Jol was a fantastic manager whose over-achieving cost him dearly.

You see I don't this whole not trying nonsense. If that was the case they should have just got a taxi at half time. Of course they tried but to say we didn't really does do Barca an injustice. Barca do two of the basic things in football, pass and move & keep possession. They do this with ruthless efficiency.

When you watch them, they have their front 3 but what makes them tick is Xavi and Inesta. That allows Messi, Henry & Eto'o to play.

Too much is made of the very english fall back off if your loosing you must run round 'looking' like you are trying and achieving very little in return

Oh dear here comes the sore losers of Man Utd...sorry its a shame that you cant take losing to a much better and classier side...which Barca were...Messi overrated??..you having a laugh arent you??. He destroyed Man Utds much vaunted defense with his cutting runs and making things happen and he also managed to get a goal as well;)...if anyone was overrated tonight it was Ronaldo tonight by a long shot.

Face it your team just totally and utterly out played by a much classier football side;)

Possibly because most people have kept this thread respectful whether you were supporting United or Barca... The kinda post you made in this thread makes you look like you're 12 years old.

He has not Only Won the CL but done the Treble, La Liga, Domestic Cup, and CL, not bad for first year in Charge, wow.

Nevertheless the statistic still stands, its a stretch to use it as a defining attribute in a comparison of which is the better league. (dont get me wrong, I believe the EPL is better than Liga, but not by that attribute)

im a villa fan, however i have a soft spot for barca and they are my second favorite team in the world :) i love their culture, their players,what they stand for and their honesty (bar puyol tonight)

For christ sake, he was! Vidic couldn't have done much more... Eto'o beat him with skill by cutting back inside. VDS should have done a little better for my liking, but there wasn't much more Vidic could have done.

Second goal was just silly really... poor marking and a good header from Messi.

Why is he a sore loser? Barcelona were good - but both goals were soft. They were very good goals but soft at that.
 
Was looking forward to tonight's game but it was a bit of a let down.

ManU looked anything but themselves and Barca were nothing special.

What are you talking about? 90% of the United fans on here have said the victory was deserved and congratulated barca. What's more pitiful is all these fans of other lesser clubs jumping on the bandwagon with the LOLOLOLOL YOUZE GOT OUTPLAYED!!!! :rolleyes:

Absolutely, its an extremely good debut year for him. If he carries that kind of performance on I would think he is a shoehorn for next Spain manager when Del Bosque hops off.
