PSP Go is revealed, UGLY AS SIN !!!!

I don't really see why everyone hates it so much, looks fine to me.

Can't wait to use one.

Looks better to me than PSP slim.

All the talk of dual analouge etc, mmmmm
Why surely this has to be compatible with PSP so not offer a control issue that isnt supported on the original and its software

Really its only a new resized design removing UMD and adding additional internal memory. Probably with a better quality screen and lower power usage so will last longer on a charge.

I see plenty of benifits for PSP users to want to upgrade...

That's my interpretation anyway. I can't see them being able to offer any kind of service for people who have already bought UMD games, I think the Go is largely for newcomers.

My Sony DVD player didnt play my VHS movies neither, i had to rebuy them again;)

People wil have to sell and rebuy but games saves etc should be possible.
Its no different to having to repay to download whats already their for PS1 or PSP games from the Playstation Store

It's the stupid looking rings around the d-pad/buttons that make it look ugly :/

I agree.

Personally I think should have pitched a white system tbh, not only do I think it would have made the system look more appealing to the 'casual consumer', white would have also worked a lot better with the steel/aluminium rings and frame, at the very least they need to offer this device in a selection of colours, in black in looks too much like an 80's 'nerd' gadget device, they need to take a leaf out of Apple's book when it comes to designing portable devices that people actually want to show-off in public.

Seing as you can only download games onto this, your going to be stuck with the pricing they have on the store for games. £5 bargain bin UMD games at retail could and probably would remain £20 on the store :/

No body knows this is a fact, much talk was made before this that insiders at Sony (same who leeked the go info a while back) said they have a solution in place for those with UMDs.

I would've thought they'd have a touchscreen on, it'd rival iPhone games then and increase the consoles attractiveness for users/developers and could add a whole new level of functionality.

I wonder if they will have a usb UMD drive addon for the PS3 and you have to hook them all up to copy the game to the psp go?

I quite like it, and after reading that LBP is being released for the PSP I'm actually half tempted to make a purchase :)

As seen on...

I don't see the big advantage about losing the UMD. Yes, it takes up a bit of space but taking away the option of using it seems like cutting your nose off... No doubt there will be a plug in UMD drive soon.

It's a bit of a kick in the teeth for anyone who has recently bought a PSP-3000. Come to think of it, everyone who has a 3000 bought it recently because it has only just come out!

If sony are doing all of this to try and win % market share from Nintendo then what they need to do is stop throwing all this money at what is, in reality, a tiny upgrade for the end user. They need to move their efforts into getting some great games PSP games out. I have a PSP 2000 and a DS lite and I like both of them for different reasons. The PSPs main fault by far is the fact that there are so many 6/10 games for it and only small number of must have titles. Get some great games out and I would use the DS less and less. The DS for all it's limitations has loads of great pick up and play games. It's games that matter.
