**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

City's spending so far under Hughes is very reminiscent of Chelsea's under Ranieri when they first landed into money.

Cant see them challenging for anything with Bridge, Bellamy & Barry being their big signings.

Ballague on SSN is saying Real have agreed a fee with Milan, KaKa's dad is in Madrid now trying to thrash out a deal but nothing have been signed or sealed for his transfer, interesting...

Where does all this money come from? Just listening to Ballague speak about Madrids plans, it's crazy. Ronaldo and Kaka and apparently all sorts of contractual agreements set in stone.

Just seen this about Barry.

"It didn't take much persuasion from Mark Hughes, they are heading in the direction I want to go"

Gareth Barry

Mark: Honestly, i am going to get this team into the top 4.
Gareth: I'm really not so sure...
Mark: £100k a week?
Gareth: I'm yours.

Ballague knows **** all :p

Seriously though the way he talks about these agreements in place between Real and Ronaldo and Real and Man Utd it's all laughable especially as he's been saying it since last summer

In Ballague's head football is just like Football Manager

I will take all this Real Madrid talk with a very hefty dose of salt, every year I read about how Real plan to buy x,y and z. Every year they end up barely getting 1 of their supposed high profile targets.

Frankly I wouldnt be at all surprised if by the end of the transfer window they havent signed any of Kaka, Ribery, Ronaldo, Alonso, Villa, Silva and Albiol.

In fact its worth bookmarking this page so that at the end of summer we can all look back and see just how much of the Real talk was true and how much was the usual BS

With Perez back they'll be signing most of the those players mentioned. Pellegrini has already been told they are signing loads and getting rid of loads.

Real have been irked this season by Barca's success and want to buy big this summer to challenge them again.

I feel a tad sorry for kaka, as much as you can for a footballer earning millions, he pledges he future time and time again while others always say 'lets see what happens' etc.

Yet because the money is way to tempting AC milan have been trying to get rid without taking the blame. They clearly wanted the City money but didn't want to do the pushing.

Mi hombre en la calle says that Alonsos future at Liverpool is in serious doubt. He wants away and Madrid are ready to table a silly package....

In other news, Birmingham is very boring tonight.
