Final Fantasy VII available on PlayStation Store...Now!!

haha its so harsh for all those people who were keeping there Final Fantasy VII discs to sell on in years to come.

Its worth nothing now..

Fool. Why do original English language copies of FFI - III for NES and SNES (not to mention Chrono Trigger) still command such high prices even though there has been umpteen rereleases?

Also, FF7 has never been hard to get hold of. The platinum versions have always been available for about 10 - 15 quid, and that was new.

It's the older, rarer picture discs that make the money.

how did I miss this thread, so gonna be buying these games tonight. FF VII :) been a long time since I played it. Girlfriend is gonne be miffed when i take over the TV

I bought it off the US store anyways last night :D

Im not to fussed about playing it on the PSP so. Didnt get much play on it last night but when I get home today..... XD Im gunna play it non-stop !!! I got 2moz off work also. So might have a huge marathon on FF7.

Lol I dont understand why I feel the need to play it now... oh wait now i know it was cuz of the screenys from ChrisBeans thread :p

Coupla questions

1. Is this a HD version? Or same SD sprites/textures? (so itll look exactly as it appears on the playstation)

2. Anyone know how much it will be?

apart from that:

***** brilliant!!! :D

1. No, it will be the same as the original PSone version.

2. It is $9.99 on the U.S. store, I'm guessing that will translate to £7.99 on the UK store.

And yes I'm very excited as well, can't wait to transfer this to my PSP.

Original PS1 version. Both PSP and PS3 have emulators for PS1 built in. You might be able to change a few options like widescreen, and view a digital copy of the manual, etc but the graphics remain untouched, as I recall. The whole thing is literally just ISOs of the original games.

I would love it if you could view the manual for it (or at least a PDF version of the guide), however from the PS3 menu it doesn't look possible.

£5 would go down better or £3.49 even but i wont complain if by buying it gets a HD remake re-imagined version done :)

I just booted up one of my PSN PS1 games on PS3 (Castlevania:SOTN). Pressing the Home Button in PS1 games doesn't bring up XMB. You get a PS1 menu that has "Software Manual" listed.

Also there is a smoothing menu which I never noticed before (only seen that for PS2 games).

I assume it is the same for all PS1 games? You have the USA PSN FF7?

Hmmmm I tried this last night with my retail PAL FF7 and I got the menu but I didn't see the 'Software Manual' listed. Will have another look in 15 minutes when I go home for lunch.
