****SIMS 3****

Order should hopefully be here tomorrow. Whilst it's not really my type of game, I'll be watching the GF play it like I did with the others, the designing of the house part is always quite enjoyable.
 
I got my Sim up to level 9/10 in the law career. His lifetime goal is to reach level 10. I can't believe how easy it is to get a promotion.

Yep, took me probably about 6 hours to reach the "Become a CEO of a mega corporation" or somethin like that lifetime goal. Was well disappointed >.<

I have played both previous Sim games (but not all the add on packs) and they were mediocre, once I built a house I was bored. This one is not my cup of tea at all.

She had the first two (plus a couple of expansions) but all she ever does is use it to design the homes, then see what sadistic ways she can kill her Sims! ;)

thats all anyone uses it for. the gameplay was pretty flawed i.e. everything goes bad and you fail
 
I got this from Direct 2 Drive, tried to install and it won't because it says it's incompatible with my OS.

I'm running Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Any advice, or have I just thrown 34 squid and 6 GB of bandwidth away?

edit: According to the d2d site, Window's built in zip opener messes something up and you have to use a proper archiving app to open it.

edit: And that, for some bizarre reason, is true. The mind, it boggles.

are you sure its genuine ¬_¬ i read that even dodgy sims 3 works on all OS on the inq / reg...
 
Girlfriend wants to get up early to go get this. Honestly I don't understand how this game drives the opposite sex so crazy, most of the time she can't be bothered to switch the PC on, but for this she's bouncing off the walls. :p
 
oh dear, I haz installed the one game I've spent years mocking people for playing...

Does anyone know if theres any Sims3 'Multiplayer' online? I.e; make servers (neighbourhoods) and join to them etc? Would make it a lot more interesting IMO if it had that :o
 
I've now lost my missus for the foreseeable future - it's just dropped through the door.

She's already asking me to find an unlimited money cheat...
