The all encompassing BNP thread - keep all crap in here.

If we're congratulating the BNP for their 2 seats, I feel it's vitally important to also congratulate Mebyon Kernow on their 3 seats, proving that they are indeed more relevant than the BNP :D

If you think about, could you tell the difference if they did there job professionally and did not let there views interfere with there job?

I think most racists would actually act on there views, and get fired anyway. Since they are not doing there job without bias.

Police, more than any other public servant, need to be without bias in their treatment of all people - white middle class included.

I don't expect police to be boy racers, chavs, or drunken violent idiots.

But I expect them to treat them all with all the respect they can in the situation and in accordance with the law.

The real truth is the police probably hate you, they probably hate me, they certainly hate anyone in a wooley top waving a placard. But I'd hope they would act professionally, no matter what stupid thing I'd done.

I really wish that people who have voted BNP would go to a BNP meeting before doing so.
After spending 10 minutes at such a place you will soon see what a bunch of ******* they are.
In my factory days I was led up the wrong path and attended a few meetings.
I did have two 1:1s with Griffin and he is a ****.
Going to a meeting you will see that the followers are people like me (working class, no higher education) and can be easily led by a couple of policies but I'm glad I grew up.
After 10 minutes you would see that they haven't got a clue and they would bring the country down in a day.

The reason you shouldn't vote for them is not because of their racist policies but because they haven't got a clue.

Yeah that's what i'm saying they may hate you, but as long as they act professionally then you could not tell the difference. But if they didn't they would get fired.

It's worth remembering that it's membership of the political party that is the problem, which is a step further than simply holding the views. Police officers have to declare any political activities they are involved in, and any affiliations.

Good post, for me personally it is difficult to see past the racism.

However, racism aside it does appear to me and from many of the "insider" interviews available on the internet and personal experiences I've had with BNP individuals is that most (not all) are actually unpleasant to talk to and be around.

The far right has always been about ignorant cynicism and blaming people who are different for societys failings without addressing the true problems facing people and society in general.

Congratulations to the BNP on their two seats. I looking forward to the full attendance at meetings and on them acting on all of the policies.

If people seriously think that extremism is a valid alternative to moderate politics, then they really need to go and find the history section of the library. Currently, I'm overjoyed at the irrelevance of UK's extremists, and am comforted that their incompetence means that their effect if voted in will be minimal.

There's stuff wrong with this country, no doubt. I think there's a lot of things that need to be changed, including immigration policy and rules on the restricting political activities of policemen. But lets get a sense of perspective: idiots are not going to solve these problems. The BNP appear to be idiots. If democracy in this country is meant to be about the will of the people being enacted through parliament, I want smart, honest, hard-working people to work in that parliament. If you think some of the MPs and councillors we have now are incompetent, fine. But to think that extremists have even the vaguest clue and that they will be anything better than five million times worse, that's just naive.

Putting the record straight

Hello everyone,

Im sure by now most of you have read my other thread "Who are you voting for on Thursday?" I posted this thread originally as I find politics fascinating and in todays current political climate I wanted to get a real sense of how people on these forums felt and as the title suggests wanted to know who people where actually going to vote for.

Now, none of you know who I am in the real world, and ive never had a problem with anyone on these forums up until I stated id voted BNP and tried to explain my reasons as to why. It seems despite me trying to explain my opinions in an intelligent and clear mannor ive been met with hostility.

Lets get this straight I am a Nationalist, I love the United Kingdom, I dont think there is a finer country. This does not mean that I hate people based on Race or Religious background and I can not stress this point enough. There are an awful lot of things in this country that I do hate, most of which im sure the vast majority of you despise aswell.

I loathe the fact that an un elected prime minister refuses to hold a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty which goes directly against our own National Constitution. I loathe the fact that those who have been elected to represent us have no interest in our opinions and are purely motivated by greed, take the expenses scandal. I hate the fact that the government had determined that despite historically and currently fighting for our country the Gurkhas etc and there family's who retired before a certain point where refused the right to live here until recentley when there is essentially unlimited immigration. I hate the fact that we pay out roughly forty million a day to the European Union and receive practically no benefits for this, money which would be far better spent in my opinion on things such as Schools, Hospitals and other very important infastructures. I cant stand the abuse of our welfare system by scroungers of any description, meaning both our native scroungers who are of this Ancestral home and immigrant scroungers from any part of the globe.

In my opinion the British National Party are the only party that have good strong policies. I dont agree with them all ofcourse but feel a lot of it does make good sense, a good solid plan to repatriate illeagal immigrants with a financial insentive for example. This does not make me a Racist, A white Supremicist, a Nazi, Facist, Jew Hater or Holocaust denier. I am none of these things though I understand there ofcourse are unsavoury characters associated with the BNP.

I enjoy being a member of this community and can only hope that despite the fact my political views differ from the majority that we can all agree to disagree and get along as normal. I for one would never jump to conclusions about someone just because of there political views.
