Istanbul - TURKEY Grand Prix 2009 - Race 7/17

Interesting about the RB not being great in dirty air, that's going to be their achilles heel this year then.

I think thats already be shown a few times this year with vettel, where he got stuck behind say a toyota he struggled to recover and gave Jenson breathing space.

6 from 7 for one driver is something special. He might well get the record this year.

That's because the cost-saving stuff and the changes of regs have made the cars more reliable. no one blows up in flames, they are slightly slower so less big smashes, the midfield in particular are very evenly matched, only 2 teams running KERS, one set of crap tyres required for each race, but the teams cover each other off. Plus, Brawn have been developing that car for a looooooooooong time compared to everyone else.
Im comparing it to the threads for this season :p

I really don't understand the tyres rule especially when there is clearly one unfavoured/rubbish set. It's like saying to footballers that they have to where clogs for 10 minutes of the match

Another stunning drive. Unlucky to Barrichello but he was having a mare from the first lap.

Bah Im annoyed I didnt get tickets for Silverstone now - though remembering the traffic in and out makes me feel a bit better :p

It's so that people still talk about the tyres (and bridgestone in particular) now that the tyre wars are over after Michelin left.

I'm thinking Goodwood instead, you get much closer, and the competion for the fastest time up the hill is always pretty good fun :D :p

I suspect Mercedes will be in a quandary, do they give full support to McLaren their works team or give more support to Brawn GP the the championship leaders and customer engine users?

Mercedes give McLaren money to come in bottom half, and Brawn give Mercedes money to buy engines. McLaren really need to up their game.

I think thats easy, especially considering all the prospective customer team next year...

Might help if they remove Anthony Hamilton from the pits. He's now sucking in his lips so tight, the ducks arse it creates probably generates bad airflow duirng pit stops ruining the cars performance. Might even deform the entire car prerace, no wonder they're performing poorly.
