Looking forward to getting the 3Gs. Fingers crossed it is out on Pay as You Go as I really don't want a contract.
 
I reckon this has been boring as it's just basic things to get ready for the next one.. where Jobs will be back and where I'd expect the next big things will be released..

The older phones get the 3.0 upgrade too.

It's a completely underwhelming upgrade and people are talking about creaming their pants, "omg omg omg" etc. So sad.

(I've got a 2G iPhone myself so not anti-Apple/iPhone, but anti-people completely losing the plot over a phone, especially when it's a lacklustre upgrade)
 
Yawn, like I said in the other thread, lacklustre upgrade on the iPhone itself, nothing there I would be desperate for, other than OS 3.0 itself.

Same what do you reckon to pricing?

The big one is speed and battery life for me-so annoying with the slow speed and poor battery life on the 3G! :mad:
 
The question is, what will performance of v3 OS be like on the current 3G, if it's any worse than current performance (which I find sluggish at times) then I'll likely shell out for the 3GS, otherwise I feel it's just temporary - this update can't last a whole year so a iphone video or similar has to be coming in 6 months - at which point I'd curse shelling out for the 3GS unless I had to...

Why would i want a Pre? because it is 'just as good' and an iPhone?
It would need to be a hella lot better than the iPhone for me to switch.

Good point about 3.0 may keep my 3G if 3G improves battery life and lag
 
I'll be interested in O2 upgrade options but tbh, 3.0 and TomTom is all I need right now. It's just that I;ve got a scratch on my screen and the back of my 3G looks like a chopping board thanks to never owning anything ot protect it.
