What the hell is a trainer? I've heard of the term, hacks/cheats/exploits/codes but what the hell is a trainer?! Sorry if I sound clueless.

What the hell is a trainer? I've heard of the term, hacks/cheats/exploits/codes but what the hell is a trainer?! Sorry if I sound clueless.
I've not actually used one but i gather it allows you to modify the game, ie, unlock all weapons etc
Its basically a program that lets you modify certain aspecs of a game at the press of a button, like unlimited health, instant build, no power consumption etc. There is normally one for every single game, and is also based on the version of that game, like if you install a patch to a game, then you need a new trainer based on that version
I remember trainers for my old spectrum games...so they've been around quite a while
In fact..wasn't there also those weird boxed that you attached to the back of the spectrums that could 'freeze' games and/or work as trainers? Seem to remember them being advertised in Your Sinclair or Crash or something...

Im sure there are some out there if you look long and hard for it, but now that I am a member I dont have to worry about searching around the web anymore, just go to this site and they will have everything that I need really quickly
I haven't found a game yet that I couldn't get a trainer for when I wanted one. Fact is if you're cheating in a game so soon after it's release that there aren't any public trainers - chances are you've wasted your money on the game as you haven't had a chance to try it properly without a trainer.
Sorry mate I just dont' see the point in needing trainers so quickly after a game is released.

Infinite lives on manic minor or jet set willy isn't it? I can't remember, don't want to google but pretty sure it's one of them as I cheated constantly on those games - cos I was pap at playing them

Sorry m8 but if you couldn't find them for free you weren't looking properly cheathappens is a big waste of cash. I have only used a trainer once and it was to just mess about and have fun more then the challenge but i would never ever pay for them you CAN get them all free if you look.
